Homemade Course
You can tell this course was designed and built by an amateur architect. Course flow is non-existent, it is very easy to get lost. We had a twosome appear out of nowhere when we were on the 2nd hole, they were playing the 8th and ended up in our fairway. Signage is limited and a lot of it is hidden behind overgrown shrubbery and foliage. Drainage was probably not a high priority when the course was built as you can see many areas of the fairways that are now void of grass due to water sitting in those areas long enough to drown out the grass, thus killing it. Greens were in pretty good shape, bunkers not as good. Most had enough sand in them, they just had not been raked in a long time as clumps of grass were well rooted in them. Not worth their walk up rate, but if you can snag a deal go for it, as there are worse ways to spend an afternoon than chasing that little white ball.
Valley
Known this course since I was young..still a nice course..27 holes of golf..wasn't veery busy..never had a delay,,unless you call me a delay..lol..can't wait to go back again..
senic veiws

Hidden gem
I live less than 20 miles from this course and never knew it existed. The course was in beautiful condition and the views are spectacular this time of year.
This is not a complaint but a fact of life when you play late September/early October. I lost a few golf balls under leaves. Had I stayed down the middle, which I don't always do, it would not have been as big a problem.
I will play here again.
Always a pleasure to play
Valley View is located in a valley surrounded by woods and TowPath Trail. The Cuyahoga River cuts through on many holes. Scenery (and wildlife) is beautiful, especially in the fall. Course conditions were pristine for 3rd week of Sept. Greens in great shape, held shots and putted nicely. Fairways also in great shape. Lots of HUGE pines line some of the fairways and rough areas.
Valley View is simply a joy to play. Nothing close to 'beating up' on you as a player. Expect to shoot a good round. Best holes on Valley 9 are Nos. 2 and 8. Both challenging par 4s. Best holes on River 9 are Nos. 7 and 9. Both are par 5s. Par is a good score on both. Best holes on 3rd nine (Lakes) are Nos. 2 and 8. #2 is a 3 shot par-5; 8 is a downhill par-4 where a perfect drive provides a birdie opportunity.
Give this gem a play. You'll come away feeling good about the course AND your game!
A course for walking or riding a cart
This course can be as friendly or difficult as you wish to make it because of the choice of tee areas. The course has a river running through areas of it which can come into play some of he time. The course is in town but with the feel of country because of the scenic views. It is in good shape with low rough and
frequent bunkers well maintained.
We enjoyed our round and will play again!
