Cold Sunday
We Played at 930 on Sunday. The course was in great shape and pace of play was fantastic. Done 3.5 hrs. Will be back.
Great job maintenance crew
Played same ball for 18 holes...no leaf rule needed...greens were on the slow side but hey...it's the end of November...pro shop attendant and starter were super helpful...thank you
Gem
This place is a gem! Always in great shape and the pace is spot on.
Gone downhill…
Played yesterday after being away for a couple years and I have to say, sadly the course has gone downhill. There were several areas were there was just No Grass… just dirt. I find that very odd for a golf course. No Cart girl on a weekend but the “No Personal Alcohol” signs still hanging all over. The greens were very inconsistent and needed to be cut. I know it is “Fall Gol” but they need to try to do a better job with the leaves. The pro shop is practically nonexistent and there was no snack bar or food stand.
Sunday Frost.
Had a 850 tee time. Frost delayed an hour. Once started we had a great fun round. 4.5 hrs to complete 18 is not bad. Will be back. The course was in great shape with the lack of rain. Greens were fine.
Tough But Fun Track
The greens on this course are the most challenging I've played in New Jersey. I had 3 "makeable" birdie putts slide past the hole and wind up 15 feet past. The par 3 greens will reject your ball if you are short. Watching your ball roll off the green down a steep embankment is tough. That said, the course is in great shape and the layout and scenery are fantastic.
Too Dry
We haven’t had rain in a lot of weeks and for the pin placements on the greens to be as aggressive as they were isn’t very friendly if you want to make golfers come back when the course is this dry and the greens are this fast, you need to choose a spot to put the pin to make it, not easier but challenging these placements were just ridiculous for these dry conditions. They should really soak the greens down with a lot of water, but that’s just my opinion.
