**Title: Disappointing Experience at Bunker Hill Golf Course**

I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to play a round at Bunker Hill Golf Course, and it was nothing short of disappointing. From start to finish, the experience left much to be desired.

Firstly, the condition of the course was appalling. The fairways were patchy and poorly maintained, resembling more of a neglected field than a golf course. It seemed like the groundskeepers had forgotten to mow some areas for weeks.

Secondly, the pace of play was excruciatingly slow. Despite booking a tee time in advance, we ended up waiting at almost every hole due to poor management of bookings and an apparent lack of marshalling. It felt like we spent more time standing around than actually playing.

Thirdly, the amenities were severely lacking. The clubhouse was outdated and shabby, with minimal options for food and drinks. The restroom facilities were dirty and unpleasant to use.

Lastly, the staff were indifferent and unhelpful. There was no sense of hospitality or willingness to ensure guests had a positive experience. It felt like they were simply going through the motions without any regard for customer satisfaction.

Overall, I would strongly advise golfers to steer clear of Bunker Hill Golf Course until significant improvements are made. With so many other courses in the area offering better conditions and service, there's really no reason to subject oneself to such a subpar experience.

We were in New Brunswick for college lacrosse and I was fortunate enough to have the time and pure luck to find such a nice place to get a last minute tee time. So fortunate. There was a late arrival ahead so I even got up quicker. The two young men I was paired with were excellent ambassadors for Bunker Hill. They were well versed to the course and helped an old man navigate challenging areas with good sound advice. Thanks Luke and Justin!
I was very impressed with the parking lot and cart pickup and return. There is a clear one way around the lot to keep traffic moving in one direction. Signs are very visible but not obnoxious. (Someone has safety in mind)
I thought the folks in the clubhouse were super nice too! Incredible deals on some really nice shirts, hats etc. Sincerely, thank you all!!! From the nice folks that let us play through to the timely refreshment lady that met us between holes. Top shelf entertainment today.

We hit from the 1st tee and when we got down to the green, there were two deer fornicating right off the fairway. The deed was being done right in my line of sight and I ended up three putting. Do you know how hard it is to putt while two deer are doing the nasty? Outrageous.

Pace of play was very good for the rest of the day since we played incredibly fast to prevent us from seeing anymore horned up wildlife.

I was hoping to drown my sorrows with a few beers in the clubhouse afterwards, but the course doesn't have a bar.

Needless to say I won't be rushing to come back here...

Love playing here everyone treats you so nice and can't beat the course especially for the price you pay.

Bunker Hill used to offer a $20 replay rate. They eliminated it. I wish they would explain why, and I certainly would play here more if they reinstated it. It has destroyed the value of this course.

I call on management to reply to my comment and explain why they eliminated the $20 replay rate.

Also, I wonder what this course's rating of GolfPass would be if not for the number of reviews by jimmb. I really think it is detroying the integrity of the overall score for this course.

Have been playing here for many years and never get tired of it. They care about the course and the golfers. Love the staff!!!! I could play courses by me but it worth the travel on all levels.

Tees, bunkers, greens all in poor shape and no signs of anyone working to improve same. Our foursome has played here five or six times a year for twenty years but we decided after this round to drop this course from our rotation. Starter also not customer friendly.

Love the course layout but the overall course is taking a beating due to the lack of rain. Course could use a sprinkler system. Found that some of the greens had some type of fungus and bare in areas. Fairways were also showing wear and tear.

Despite all the hot weather and little to no rain they have done a tremendous job keeping it in the best shape they could.

Love the people and the course. Play 2x a week and never get tired of the course.

Overall the course was in great shape considering the lack of rain. The greens are in excellent shape. For those of you that have not played here before, you're in for a pleasant surprise and an enjoyable round of golf. One thing I should mention is that the course is relatively short but challenging.

Been playing this course for about the last 8 years or so and the course keeps getting better. The staff they have is outstanding. Mark who is the manager is always on top of his game. Bill,Joe,Brian,Rick and Steve make it a pleasure to play there.

My friends and I have been playing Bunker Hill for years and we play 10+ rounds each year. We have always played 36 holes when we have played to take advantage of the $20 replay rate.

Unfortunately this past Wednesday when we played, we were told that the replay rate has been eliminated this year and we would have to pay $38 to play a second round. This is on top of the green fees being increased to $50 from $46 last year. So last year it cost us $66 to play 36 holes and this year it costs $88. I played 36 at Neshanic Valley in April and it cost $100 for 36 ($70 + $30). Cranbury still costs $64 for 36 ($39 + $25).

Bunker Hill has no driving range, no alcohol and is a very short course, however they feel they can now price the course at levels that are commensurate with premium public courses in the area like Neshanic Valley. If I am going to pay premium prices, I am going to play a premium course. Otherwise my friends are going to play at Cranbury which has a driving range and is substantially cheaper.

To the management of Bunker Hill (I know you are reading this): My three friends and I have historically spent a combined $3,000+ at Bunker Hill each year for the last decade or more. We will boycott your course until the $20 replay rate has been reinstated. Your obvious greed towards your best customers will not be tolerated when there are other courses in the area to play. DO THE RIGHT THING NOW!!!

The need to allow walking prior to 9:00am on weekends!!!!!!!!

Mark and the rest of the staff are great people who run a great course. Play every week and twice if possible. Course is always in great shape. Bill and Joe are so pleasant to deal with as the starters. Could not ask for a better place to play.

Tee Boxes are atrocious. Fairways are in poor conditions. Greens are Fair-Good. I'm not sure, but there may be a local rule that you don't fix your divots on the greens and rake the bunkers!!! :(. That was really bad, Can't blame the course for poor etiquette by the players.) Carts are great! Fast and automatic park. Starter was very nice. Golf Now did not forward my tee time to course which made for an annoying call ( for both the clubhouse attendant and me, the paying customer) to GN to fix it . Would not go back for the regular rate. Only good for on the cheap.

Bunker Hill is always in great shape but they have done a lot over the last few months. The staff of Mark,Inez and Bill are the nicest people you can ever meet.

My friends and I have been playing Bunker Hill for decades. For the price, you will not find a better golf course in the state. The course is extremely fair with an enjoyable layout, and it is a fairly easy course to walk (holes 3, 9, 10 & 18 are moderate walks).

This course used to never be crowded, but that has changed majorly during covid. You need to book a week in advance to secure a good tee time, and that includes the months of December, January and February.

There is one point I feel is very important to bring up. I have played this course probably 100 times over the last 20 years. In all of those times, we have never once been paired with anyone I would consider to be a jerk who negatively impacted our round. I know the course has no control over this, but the clientele who play at Bunker are just really good people who love playing golf. This is not the case with virtually every other course in New Jersey that I have played. Who you play with is as important a factor as where you play. I would not hesitate to play at Bunker as a single for this reason.

My only issue is with course conditions. The tee boxes are really beat up, and they do nothing to repair them until the end of the season when they re-sod. Given how much more revenue the course is bringing in now, I hope they stay on top of this better. Also, golfers do not do a great job repairing ball marks which is really kind of obnoxious.

Overall I highly recommend Bunker Hill.

Great course that is well maintained. The greens are in great shape and they keep the course top notch.
Best part is the staff they are friendly and make your experience the best. Mark/Inez and Bill are such great people as is the rest of the staff (Joe/Rick). I have been playing this course weekly for the last 6 years or so and hope to continue for a long time.

Would I like to Pebble Beach and The Masters every week? You betcha! Obviously we can't so I love to go to my local favorite Bunker Hill. It's fun, challenging enough for my level, score friendly and MOST IMPORTANT the management and staff that are there on a daily basis are the best! Mark (general manager) has become a friend and runs the course like a friendly neighborhood pub. Have I played better courses with pristine conditions? Yes but I always come back for the hospitality and a course that they are always striving to make better. Trust me, fun place and great people with the ongoing improvements. Fix your divots people! lol
