Another Course Lost to the National Park
Sad that the National Park has gobbled up another course. Course had several very unique holes that played over some hilly terrain and through some river valleys. The Z par 5 and drop shot par 3 before still stick out to me.
Barn Yard Golfing
Its cheap and an easy course but my yard is in way better condition than this golf course.
Brandywine, Brandywine...
Played this course a couple of times this year, first round I was able to play quickly (3.5hrs), the second time was over 5 hours. Not the fault of the golf course but of the "golfer(s)" that play there that should be playing on the adjacent par three course. I found the course to be in good condition (fairways little dry). The back nine have some very narrow openings that challenge your golf making abilities, and the Z hole is always making me scratch my head... overall I like playing the course at the "hot deal" rates.
Don't play
Had a 115 tee time only to show up and find four other foursomes with a 115 tee time and then find out thre are no carts available unti around 215 yet I owe golf now the full price. Manage the course. Quit overbooking. Get your act together. Never coming back
Dont waste your valuable time!
Place is a dump! Course conditions were horrible! Like hitting off of dirt roads! Don’t waste 4 hrs of your day away from the wife and or kids to play this dump. Too many beautiful courses in the area to give this course that’s being up kept by what you would think are teenagers a dime! Clearly they’re not putting it back into the course. You mine as well grab your putter and 7 iron to play the back nine because really that’s all the layout will allow you to hit without going OB! I read past reviews before going and thought it was a seasonal thing but it was trash. Just from one golf lover to the next, TRUST ME STAY AWAY!!!
You have to play 18 holes beautiful course.
First time at Brandywine could not have been better. Wonderful staff, great greens course played at a good pace, only thing the carts really need an update. Would love to go again despite the 45-minute ride.
Fun course
I like to play early golf at this course. I had the first tee time at 6:52 but I had to wait a few minutes for them to turn the sprinklers off on the first tee. I had a great round in 2 hrs and 15 minutes. I like when Brandywine had the early bird special for $23.50. I had to go on GolfNow to get the $25 rate. I love the challenging back 9. Hole 13 kicks my butt! Lol. Sometimes the par 5 Z hole gets me. Overall I really enjoy the course.
Loving the back 9
I enjoy brandy as we call her. She can be nasty if you miss the fairway. She can also separate you from the boys if they miss. Very challenging good course.
Good course
Course was a little wet in spots, but overall in good shape.
Unkempt Conditions
Course was very wet (obviously not their fault), however, fairways and greens were in terrible condition. We didn’t find out the back 9 was closed until another group informed us on the 3rd tee. We ended up playing the front 9 and going elsewhere, even though we paid for 18. Probably will not return.
SOS
This course has a lot of potential front nine is ok bunkers need help just grow grass in them if your not going to keep up with sand, rough was very long hard to find your ball. The back nine needs a lot of work there better off putting AstroTurf on 15 can't grow grass,
Fun Par 3
The Par 3 at Brandywine is a fun, 9 hole course. Great place for a kid to learn the game
The Jekyll and Hyde of golf courses
This was my first time playing Brandywine, I have heard the two nines are different, but was still not prepared for the extreme difference of the front and back. The front is a parkland style setting, relatively flat, but has much better green complexes than I expected, not just old saucer greens, most are pushed up and have pot bunkers that require good skills to get out of. Number 4 is very tight, water on the left and a trees all down the right side.
The back is mountain golf, in creek valleys, its so tight and short, there is little or not room for error. I am still not sure how to play several of the holes, even after seeing what I thought were blind tee shots, but really weren't, there just wasn't more space to the land the ball. The holes, are very beautiful and scenic, the second par three the green sit about 150 feet below the tee box, its a very crazy fun shot.
Conditions were okay, greens were good (not aerated yet). The tees were beat up to say the least, they needed to be repaired from play, tons of divots. The grass looked okay, but my ball always seemed to be in a bare spot.
The back was fun, but lacked playability. The front gives the player options and choices, and was a better test of skill and strategy.

Patchy greens
Love this course!! Play here every other week or so. There seems to be at least one medium size patch of dead and cracked turf on every green. Otherwise, the course is in fantastic shape!
Beware of the back 9! Don’t be a hero, play an iron.
