Windy, but can't control that
Played about noon. It was windy, but hey, can't do anything about that. It does test your skills. Greens in good shape, very little if any damage. They are FAST. Fairways in pretty good shape. It was busy, but the pace was really good. The way they spaced the tee times, we only ran into other golfers once. A group of 5 was in front of a group of 2, in front of us (group of 2). I will definitely play here again, and recommend this facility to others.
Excellent OKC - one of best in state
two great long standing 18 hole courses - typically best greens in the city. outstanding clubhouse and restaurant
Great Round at a challenging course
I played here during a meeting my wife was attending. I brought all of my cold weather items, cart cover, heater gloves, etc.... But it warmed up and I really didn't need any of them. It was very windy(15-20) and about 65 degrees. I played alone until about 15. Most people were very friendly and let me tru. I played the blue tees which are championship and even though I had some longer approach shots at times due to wind (175-185) it played pretty fair. A lot of non-flat stances and lies and some changing elevation approach shots. Greens were very nice and rolled at about an 8. The fairways were a little sparse in some areas but outside of a country club, they were very good for public course. Sand traps were really the only poor areas on the course. They were typical Oklahoma "dirt traps" with occasional pebbles throughout. Great new club house. Play it if you are in OKC and you will be pleased. FYI, beers are about $4.25 each! Good job City of OKC on making this a very fun course.
The Clubhouse Remodel is Fantastic - Course is great too
Played as a single on a Friday morning with 3 less skilled golfers, no biggie for me. Course was great as always but the remodel of the facility is fantastic. West is the more difficult of the 2 18s but it's still enjoyable and not long.
Fun
i've always enjoyed playing Lincoln East. The greens were in really good shape the day I played. Bunkers were in need of some work.
this course is plush
Nice course lot of doglegs, nice and long from blues...very green, plush fairways and greens....Will play again!
I really enjoyed
the constant changes in elevation. Also there was a water fall on one hole which was awsome. The clubhouse was being either built or rennovated so all the business was out of a shed. But when it gets done, it looks like its gonna be huge. Huge greens.
