Fun track ruined by the pace of play!
Great old course with mature trees. BUT... It is not fun to enter every Tee box with 2 or 3 foursomes waiting.
I entered the 18th box after 5 hours and 10 min with 4 foursomes waiting there!!! Two groups just drove home. (mine included)
They need functional marshals to stop groups from taking 5 practice swings on each shot and walking every put for 2 minutes like they were Sergio ! Again, great course, but cannot spend 6.5 hours to finish a round!

Earlywine North
This time of year easy to get on the course. Course is in good shape. The layout is challenging on about 2/3 of the course. The remaining holes are made for scoring..
North Course at Eearlywine
North course at EW has challenging holse at times, fairways are in good shape. If you go a few feet off the fairways its difficult to find your ball, the greens are in bad shape, looks like the greens have mange. Each green differs from the next, It's extremely hard to putt when no one fixes their own divots, I usually try fix about 5 divots per green.
Favorite Course on the South side
The North Course at EW has plenty of big older trees that make for some tight fairways in places. They also provide some shade in the crazy Oklahoma summer heat. Greens and fairways always in very good condition. Because of the heavy woods, you can loose a lot of balls if you have problems staying on the fairways. Medium water and sand hazards. Some very interesting hole designs.
Favorite Course on the South Side
The South Course at EW offers a wide variety of holes. Being a golfer who is not always on the fairway, I can tell you some of the holes have some pretty rough rough. Then, others are fairly wide open. Water comes into play on a lot of the holes. Number 18 is one of the most challenging holes I've ever played. Very few holes that don't dog-leg to varying degrees. A couple of blind tees. Fairly flat greens, for the most part.
