Lost Tracks Golf Club

About
Perfect Central Oregon rolling terrain fashioned into beautiful golf holes by designer Brian Whitcomb. With 7000 yards of breathtaking views and challenging golf shots Lost Tracks Golf Club defines the word golf.
While Lost Tracks Golf Club is located near the city of Bend, it has the feeling of quiet seclusion. The golf course is bordered by national forest land and carved out of a stand of Ponderosa and high desert pine trees with lava rock outcroppings, dotted with sparkling lakes, and seaside sand filled bunkers. Laid out on a softly rolling terrain the old style design, without the long walks between greens and tees, invite the golfer to walk the meticulously groomed and maintained fairways.
Lost Tracks design philosophy did not include a "signature hole" consideration. Many players may consider the 141-yard 16th hole a par 3 island green, with an old railroad dining car for a bridge, to be exactly that. However, with so many gorgeous holes to choose from, we will leave that up to you. Have fun!

Hole 11 @ Lost Tracks Photo submitted by odysseycustom on 05/27/2014
Always a fun track
The course was in great condition for this time of year. Lost Tracks has a unique layout and gives you fun and sometimes challenging shot shaping. Super friendly staff and a great experience overall.
Needs work
The golf course has seen changes it once was well.maintained but I have seen a huge decline over the course over the last few years. The greens are poorly maintained. The clubhouse is old and outdated. The staff is unfriendly and unleashed dogs are allowed on the. Course in which there is dog poop on the greens
Course is falling apart.
We have played this course at least a couple times every year for about a decade. This might be the last. I have never seen the course in such bad shape. Greens hadn’t been mowed in probably a week. One of the tee boxes wasn’t mowed at all. We couldn’t find our ball in the fairway of one hole because of the dandelions. Super disappointing. Also took almost 3 hours for 9 holes. The guy checking people in said a foursome took 5.5 hours to play nine holes first thing and backed up the whole course. He was very nice and you could tell how frustrated he was.
I love the design of the of the course, but it needs a major investment in its upkeep and some decent course maintenance. Not worth it for the money anymore.
A Nice Round
We played at 10:30 and it was chilly but not crowded. There is something for everybody on this course. Not a lot of traps but the greens were challenging. A fun round!
Hacks at the Tracks
All course conditions very good i.e. 1st, 2nd. cuts and quick greens(about 12). Bunkers pretty well maintained and drained. Restrooms locked (for the winter) so no on course water available .
Fun course
The course was very fun and the staff on that day was extremely helpful and very professional! Will definitely be back!
TRICKY FIRST TIME
Got lucky and played with a gentleman that had played the course several times.
Most of the holes are doglegs, but have ample driving areas.
The island green with an old train car that you walk through to get to the green is the highlight of the course.
Solid golf course and good value
Really enjoyed the course layout. Pretty good condition and a challenging layout. I definitely want to play it again. The only problem, it was a 5 1/2 hour round. There was no marshalling pace of play and they let out twosomes on a Saturday which added to slow play. It was a very slow round. Would like to see the staff Marshall the course better. But, I will play it again cuz it’s a good course.
