Reviews
Great Little Course
Excellent winter golf here.
Different feel to this executive course. Being tucked into a residential neighborhood, it sometimes feels like you are playing in someone's public park... other times it feels like you are in an alpine meadow.
Pros:
Very fun layout
Great Views of the Mountains
Excellent Fairways and Greens especially for November
Super friendly staff.
Compact and shorter time to play
Cons:
The Ninth hole isn't back at the clubhouse so if you play nine you just walk back from the furthest point on the course (you could play holes 1-5 and turn and play 15-18 for an easier nine hole route that ends at the clubhouse which is what I would do for a 9 hole day)
The yardages on the scorecard and the signs seem way off. Bring a rangefinder or just trust your eyes
Sand in Bunkers is a bit thick
The signs at the tees need to be replaced - a lot of them are unreadable.
Mix bag
The good: Greens are rolling SO true, fast, and smooth! Some of the best greens for public courses in central OR right now. Kudos to the maintaince crew!
The not so good: I don't want to pick on the old ladies for slow play, but that is exactly what lead to over a 3 hr 30 min round. 3 old ladies w/ carts, yikes. It was like rush hour in Los Angeles, not going anywhere.
Just fun!
The greens are rolling smooth, and the course is in some of the best shape in years! Sand traps still need some TLC, don't go there.
This course fits a great need in central OR. Excellent executive course that is always fun. Easy on the wallet, walker friendly, and you can play in 3 hours.
Best staff you will ever meet...year after year!
Greens
They need help! Super bumpy which makes it hard to read or get accurate rolls. Other than that really fun course
Great short course
Nice little short course which was in good shape coming out of the winter. Holes are diverse enough and some of the greens are challenging making it a worthwhile round. Certainly worth the green fee. Family run operation, who are very friendly and who seem to be appreciative of your business. If you walk, be prepared for a 5.2 mile walk which is fairly flat. Pace of play was under 3 1/2 hours walking. Would definitely play this course again.
Fungus on grass prevalent hope they attend to it pull carts were warm ou pieces either missing or broken beautiful setting and nice course for its size and fair price
Spring gem
Playing this course was a pleasant suprise for being an executive format. Nice contouring, easily walkable and very good turf conditions recently emerged from snowpack. Will definitely return.
This course good for short game.
First time back this year to play golf and it was good to work on the short game.
Great Little Course
We had a back up on every hole but other than that it was a great little course with an awesome layout. I would come back for sure.
Great course
The new management has really made an effort to improve the course! They have a new scorecard w/ more accurate yardage (although tees/yardage/scorecard don't match up on all holes). Really like the new back tees on 16 and 17.
Greens at Redmond in great condition
The course is in very good condition. This is an excellent executive course.
My son and I played from the black tees, my wife from the gold tees. This made for a challenge on the par 3 holes. The par 4 holes are all relatively short but give you the opportunity to use all of your clubs.
We met the owner as we were leaving and he said he bought the course to get it back in shape and make it a great golfing experience. They succeeded.
The Greens at Redmond
Great Par 3 course, lots of fun
Golf needs more golf courses like the Greens at Redmond
The course was in great condition. Course attendant was extremely friendly and nice, very helpful. For an 18 hole executive the holes were well laid out. Nice yardage, well bunkerd and nice job of positioning water on the water holes. Golf needs courses like this so beginning golfers can learn to play golf on courses that provide a challenge. Would be much better if they had a range and they have the room to put one in. Will play the the course again great bang for buck!
Consistently good!
We have been playing this course for many years once or twice a year and it still continues to kick butt! Brought my 15 year old grandson out for the day and he was very surprised how difficult this short course was, but enjoyed it.
Executive challenge
The Greens offers an accessible course. Its can be somewhat challenging, but also a good course for those who are less skilled.
The Greens
We play this course when we are in the area. It really reveals any weakness in the short game. There are many parts 3s.
This course has great features
This is a GREAT course.New owners have done very good fixing it up.
Great hidden gem in Redmond
Great par 3 course - only a few par 4 holes. Easy to go round all 18 in about 3 hours. Careful to look for the directional signs for the next tee - some are quite a way from the previous green and some are back on yourself. Very friendly staff in the clubhouse/shop and would highly recommend playing this course.
Value golf
I have played this course many times and have turned a number of friends on to it also. You can play it in 3 hours walking an use most every club in your bag. The staff are friendly and helpful. Congrats on a great venue!
Still a Great Value
This course is always a fun place to play. Played with two extremely friendly guys who made the day more enjoyable. Some greens were a little rough, but fairways and tee boxes in great shape.
