Great layout
This course is awesome! Great layout, the holes were picturesque, all of them presented a different challenge. Not one weak hole on this course, I could play it every day. What makes this course challenging are the greens. Very undulating, you have to miss in the right spots to score well. If you have the chance to play this course, it’s a must do!
A strong test of golf
Cobblestone Creek is another in a long line of stellar private country clubs in greater Rochester.
It's as difficult a course as I've played in a while, probably because I was dragged to the tips by a trio of sweet-swinging single-digit members who were in training for the club championship that weekend. The course ran firm and fast, which continuously got me in trouble off the tee, and near the greens, where my approaches would end up in no-man's land above the hole or behind the green in bunkers.
Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Craig Schreiner probably made the wild greens a bit too severe for most of us, but they're never boring. Long carries off the tee over wetlands and ponds push most members to the blue tees, where I'm sure I'll be next time I visit.
Cobblestone Creek is equally parts fun, scenic, maddening and delightful.
