Didn’t get on
My buddy booked our tee time day before for 8:30am was called 6:30am day of and was told “yeah that’s not gonna happen” they had a tournament at 9…. No apology nothing every course is booked now and can’t get out. Frustrating as I don’t have tons of time to get out golfing… some customer service woulda been nice I get mistakes happen. Was gonna be my first time playing there
Good course with a lot of potential
Course layout is great. It could use some more upkeep but overall it’s a nice course to play.
Back 9 closed
We were bummed to find out the back 9 was closed. Had to play the front 9 twice. Was never told this when booking or before paying. Course was empty so the pace of play was great. Course it much better shape then previous year. Will return this season.
Rude
The guy in the shop wasn’t friendly. I used the app to book the round and paid online. We got there and I paid double what I was suppose to but got that taken care of. No scorecards. I get it’s early in the season but there have been plenty of nice days to get things ready. Plus some old guy pushed me out on the course because we ran over a twig.
Very rude staff and very poor playing conditions.
To start off our day the old man working the pro shop couldn’t figure out the computer. Took forever to get us out and on the course. Actually had to call in two of our foursome not once but twice because he messed up. One of the times was even while we were teeing off on the first tee box. It was a complete debacle, I ended up getting over charged and my other twosome undercharged which led to them owing me.
The lady working at the bar was very rude and disgruntled. She may be having a bad day, we all do but it was like I was asking for her first born child when all I asked for was a single beer for my dad and I.
The tee boxes and greens were rock hard which were workable. However there is no excuse for the condition of the cart paths or the piles of sticks and leaves along the fairways.
I really enjoy this course and would love to play it more often but being my second round this year and there being no improvements from early season to the start of peak season I am very dissatisfied and most likely will not be back this season.
For being a country club you would think this place would score a much higher score on a review. And I don’t typically ever write reviews on a place unless it is a good one. But today jusy really left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears and this course can make the improvements they drastically need.
Susquehanna CC
Excellent conditions. Greens are superb, but stay below the hole! Green for par 5 #17 is now open, and rolling nicely! Our group plays within an hour or so of Harrisburg, and Susquehanna CC is a challenging track. Birdies are out there if you're able to read the greens.
Susquehanna
Great layout, greens in excellent shape, back nine more challenging than the front but very fair, we play it at every opportunity we have
Solid Course
First time playing this course. Check-in was simple and easy. Carts were nice and the course was in decent shape for April in Pennsylvania.
Front and back 9 were very different and allowed for all clubs in the bag to be in use.
One temporary green on the back 9 that I was not aware of and a few greens were a little rough. Again, it's April, so hard to be too critical of the course, but definitely would like to try the course again come summer to see if it has improved.
Only item that was a bit annoying was the rough was really deep. Unless you were standing over the ball, you weren't finding it. So hopefully that gets cut back a bit once summer arrives.
Otherwise, I'll be back to play next time I've visiting PA.
Best Course Around
Honestly one of the best courses I've played on around this area. Was a little confusing at first, but the Club worked with me on scheduling; GolfNow for some reason scheduled me for the next day in their system despite the time and day being accurate on the reservation and email.
