Play the course 2 weeks ago today's . 6/9 courses in much better shape after June rains. Greens are filling in half of them are not in good shape. 3 out of 5 . Sorry will play it again.
Darlington
Great course layout. Great value. Go play if you’re in the area.
Really need to take better care of the fairways. A few of the greens are very weedy
Greens need more attention. Not a great idea to have driving range next to the first fairway.
Very satisfying experience.
While traveling up the East Coast, I looked for a course to play my first round of the year. This course exceeded my expectations.with a very helpful pro shop attendant, cheaper price then I expected, nice hole by hole guide, interesting holes and not busy at all. Fairways didn't seem to have irrigation so they were pretty hard baked.
Traveling thru
poor value for the money. Although course was trimmed well, greens full of weeds. The lady in the clubhouse was rude and abrasive. Paid $35 each for me and my son and another $30 for two riders with us. $100 spent for $20 course. No wonder the course was empty on a Friday at 1 pm.
Greens were very good
I want to play this course again. Great course, but the cart paths need some attention.
The course is in good shape
The course is in good shape, friendly people. The greens roll true and fast nice place to play.
Great condition! Greens were cut just right and soft.
Disappointed
I expected more from a private course that recently allowed outside play. The lack of grass is beginning to give way to erosion, half of one greenside bunker had fallen into a stream. The greens were not too bad but they were slow. The fairways had barely enough grass that you could find a spot to hit from if you rolled the ball. I played on a Monday and I didn't see any maintenance being done. There are much better courses near Florence at cheaper rates.
I should've known
When all the tee times were open and only $30 fees, I should've known. When there were no visible golfers and 5 cars in the lot on a sunny Saturday, I should've known. Hard to find or non existent 150 markers, sand was rocks and water, greens had crab grass and move divots than an acne ravaged teen. When I ran into the first group I encountered at the 10th, I was tempted to hang it up then because I knew I wasted my money. I wish I did. I kept playing and ran into a group on the 18th. When they each took 3 shots to go 125 yards, I had had enough. I drove past to the clubhouse and took off. No thank you.

A year ago this course was in serious decline. New Green Super has turned it around to become enjoyable again. Greens are in the best shape in years. Full and true. Good speed. 10-12 stint. One can see the work focus is moving to the fairways. Very playable and They are improving. Attention still needed between fairways removing highway grass & such. Its a fun little course that offers challenge with some narrow shoots off the box and raised average to smaller sized greens. Good pace... Bogey Twosome can play in less than 4hours. Very Good Course at a great price!
Course in really good condition
Smooth play Very little wait time
Great course in the Florence area
Definitely the nicest course in the area. Course in good shape; greens roll true. I would recommend to any golfer!
Great layout and the greens are in good condition
Unfortunately it was a little hot the day I played, but I really enjoyed this course. The layout of the course is nice, and the greens were in great condition. I didn't have the highest of expectations going into the day, so I was pleasantly surprised at how well the course played. I will definitely be back!
Love Playing Darlington
Darlington has become our go to golf course. We have played it more than any course around here lately. It is a wonderful course, pace of play is awesome, staff & facilities are great. Course has been a little soggy in certain spots because of all the rain in the past few months, but the course is still in beautiful shape. Actually, I took my mom out to play(& eat) there a few weeks ago & paid full price without GolfNow discount just because I liked it so much & she & I had a great time!
