The Players Course at Wyboo

About
Situated along the banks of Lake Marion, Wyboo Plantation in Santee is part of an upscale, gated community. The lake merges with a canal that leads to Lake Moultrie. The Player Course is routed through the different neighborhoods and it is joined by the Wyboo Golf Club in the adjacent community of Deercreek Plantation. The 18-hole golf course stretches to just over 6,900 yards from the back tees. It is a great course for long hitters but it also forces golfers to employ creative strategies on each hole. The layout is tight in some spots and thanks to the interconnected lakes, water hazards come into play on several holes. It is a golf course that will make you think but at the same time it is playable for a range of different skill levels.

Overall great course
It was a perfect day, this course is out in the middle of nowhere. I’d played on a Sunday and I’m so use to golf course being crowded on Sundays but this was the opposite. There was nobody there, the perfect day for me. Course was great but some of the greens had rough patches. If this course wasn’t an hour and a half from me. I would play this course everyday.
Love It!
Very playable and forgiving course. Great condition. Clubhouse staff were super friendly. Amazing re tak set for $25, brand new TaylorMade Stealth. Pace of play can be slow as there are a lot of super-seniors playing this course.
Practice Round
I have played the course a couple of times lately. A few holes & greens have drainage issues, but we have had a lot of rain this summer. Nice practice green & range. Good Bunkers need work. Fairways & Greens are good. Good value. I will play again.
Fast greens
Our group enjoyed the course and the staff.
Greens were fast but well groomed.
Will definitely play many more rounds here!
Family fun day
It was a good corse for my wife and 2 grandsons to have some fun and spend time together. The staff was very friendly and helpful
It has been about 5 years or longer since My last visit. The course condition is better than before. Fast Greens. I think the course condition is better than that of Wyboo.
First I,pressions are forever lastimg
When I arrived at the course I needed to use the bathroom/ Upon entering, both bathroom stall toilets were full of feces and toilet paper. This was disgusting, something you would expect in a homeless shelter and not at a highly rated golf course. That's my thoughts about this place.
I play this course all the time.
It’s becoming a hit or miss weather or not the greens are cut. They seem to having some issues with cutting everyday. The other day they moved the pins. The holes already were rough around the edges and a few were volcanoes. When they cut the hole they pulled up the surrounding ground and didn’t flatten it back out. They are looking for workers so maybe they are just short handed as mostly in the past this course was in great shape.
A quiet little gem
This course is a hidden gem to play. It's layout is great challenging for the advanced player but forgiving to the beginner. The pace of play is good only a couple of bottle necks. The price is good, especially when you catch the deals on golf now. The staff is awsome and super friendly and willing to help out.
