Reviews
First time player. Used golf now to book with a friend
Pretty neat of Fox Run to offer golf now tee times as a way to bring in extra $ without raising dues for their members. Saw golf now was offering a tee time so I booked with a friend. We caught a twosome on the back and paired up with them and they definitely elevated the experience. Cool little course layout, not very long, but can be punishing. Played after a week of rain so the greens were a little
Spongey but kept their speed for the most part and always rolled true. Not a bad course if you have the opportunity to try it out.
Not even close to a $75 course
This was my first time playing and it was a huge disappointment. The cost was $75 to play on greens that were just punched. The course layout was nice but the pace of play was horrible. No rangers to keep pace and saw cart girl only on the first hole. I’d play here again but only worth 30-40 per round at max.
Roger
My wife and I enjoyed this course and plan to play it again.
Good course
Overall a nice course in good condition with nice greens. Only issue is price is a little high but other than that it’s a nice golf course.
Great experience
Everything went off as hoped for! Beautiful course, staff very friendly, food after round fantastic and great place of play w course in fantastic shape!
Stay away from this “private” club.
This is a nice golf course, but it is ran by a bunch of ignorant drunks and the laziest and rudest pro shop staff in all of South Carolina. This place is a war zone of slow play, broken cart rules, and balls being hit into you!
I was a member for a year and a half and was hit into 4-5 times by other members BLATANTLY. The pro shop would do nothing about this. Their stance is that you take a chance being out there and it was probably an accident.
The club is broke and the leadership is cheap and spineless. Don’t waste your time, money, or energy on this lame duck “private” golf club.
A solid test for everyone.
Fox Run isn’t long but it is protected by undulated greens and hazards. Course has undergone some great improvements recently and is in fantastic shape. This course is a great value for the money, must play of given the chance!
Nice Course with very Fast Greens
Fox Run is a private course and I had the opportunity to play the course during a Women's South Carolina Golf Association competition.
The staff was very friendly and the event was run well.
The pace of play was a bit slow but that was with 120 players in a shotgun format.
The course is very nice, well maintained considering the amount of rain in SC this month. And the night before the event the course got over an inch rain. So the fairways were wet (no roll) and surprisingly the greens were very fast (I can't imagine how fast they would be on a dry summer day).
The food served at the event was also excellent.
Overall, if you have the chance to play Fox Run - play!
Slow Play Ruined a Good Round
The pace of play was extremely slow. We waited at every tee box. The course is a nice layout but the greens are sloping and inconsistent. One woukd be fast and the next one slow. Staff was friendly.
Great Course
Snowed in Asheville, so we drove all the way to Simpsonville, SC where it was 60. Course was a little wet in places but that was expected with the time of year and the fact they got rain the previous night. Course is in great shape. Greens roll smooth,
