Always fun place to play
Stoneybrook is always a fun place to play. Not a long course, but need to hit it straight. River run through a lot of holes. Staff is always great.
Another Great Day At Stoneybrook
My wife and I joined Stoneybrook this month and love playing here. Course is in great shape for winter golf and the staff are awesome. Looking forward to many great days of golf ahead!
My Home Course
I’ve grown up playing this course and it will always be challenging for me. Friendly staff. Fun layout that is great for adult and junior golfers alike.
Best Value Around
This golf course is much better than I expected. The greens are in great shape. The layout is challenging and rewards a good shot. The people working are as nice as can be.
Everyone likes to play a perfect, expensive, exclusive golf course from time to time. But I've found I really also enjoy a smaller, easy going track, as long as it is well maintained and the people are kind. That's Stoneybrook. My time freed up last Friday and I wanted to book a last minute, Saturday tee time. I drove down to Columbia and walked into the clubhouse and they were able to fit me in within the hour.
I've played the course 3 times now and a round has never taken me more than 4 hours. One chilly Sunday morning, a buddy and I played through twice in 5 hours. So if time is an issue for you, it's a great place to try.
The course is not too hard and pretty scorable. I hover around a 10 handicap so I usually play the back (blue) tees. There's a few short par 4's (4 & 18) and the course has five par 3's and par 5's. After the first hole, a very short and easy par 5, a 240 yd par 3 and a hazard lined 500 yd par 5 provide the tightest section of the course.
The clubhouse sells beer, soft drinks, candy and crackers. Not much else. There might have been a time when they were open to selling a wider food menu, but I suspect Covid has limited that. The course also has a good grass range ($5 for a bag of balls), a short game area, and a putting green by the first tee.
If you're in middle Tennessee, especially south of Nashville, and you are looking for a nice course to try out, come by Stoneybrook. You'll be glad you did.
Soggy but not bad
Heavy rain preceded the round so, you would expect some ponds of water. Free lifts from casual water helped a lot. Greens were in excellent shape for this time of the year. Staff was friendly and helpful. Course overall was in much better shape than the last time I played.
Deal or No Deal
Took a chance on this course, glad I got a Golfnow hot deal at $12....course was in rough shape, fairways fuzzy and worn out, greens spotty with burned out patches....but the worst thing was pace of play. Groups ahead not playing ready golf, not willing to let people play through. Waited on every tee and fairway just to play. Awful. No course ranger to address this. Won't go back. Won't recommend this to anyone.Deal or no deal? Definitely No Deal.
Always fun
Course is in good shape and always a fun round. Staff is great and always friendly.
Time well wasted
Greens were in good shape but a little hard. Fairways a little thin but course played fast and staff was very accomadating. Thank you for a great day of golf.

Thank you!!
Some very interesting holes
Short course, extremely friendly staff.
There a few very difficult holes that hold this course from low low scores.
Good value for the money
This is my home course and it has made many improvements over the past few years. There are some simple straight holes but there are at least 5-6 holes that are pretty challenging. Their is a lot of thick ruff that you can lose some balls in if you're not careful. The greens were in excellent shape on this day and played great. The staff is always great.
Beautiful day for golf
Very quirky golf course. Local knowledge would have helped me a lot. The greens were decent, but the fairways were awful. They were as bad as I have ever seen. For that reason, I can not recommend this course.
Flood Damage
First time my wife and I played this course. We saved a lot of money using 'GolfNow', good thing too because the recent heavy rains flooded the streams that snake through the course and deposited a lot of dirt/mud in the fairways that turned in to concrete. This made for impossible approach shots. I hope the course recovers from the damage because I would like to play it again.
It would be nice to have a couple more restrooms strategically placed on the course as well. Also, the cart paths need some work. Take it slow. Overall, a fun course to play, and the staff was wonderful. We'll be back.
Stoneybrook
Overall I enjoyed the layout. I thought that the tee boxes may have been cut a little shorter. ( a little shaggy) Greens were in very good condition.
Great course, Great Price, Great People
I’ve played here multiple times in the last year just because of the deals you can get on 18 holes of great golf. The greens at in decent shape some could use a little work but overall this course is a great challenge for the average weekend golfer looking to get out and play with their buds or their family.
Not bad for the money
Overall, its a pretty standard course. Great for the price and and the course is taken care of moderately well. It's fun to play every now and then, but it can get old if its your home course.
Thank you!!
