Fun course to play; currently wet
We enjoyed playing this course even though it was a bit wet from the recent rains. Greens were amazing - putted well, held shots well, repaired well. Too bad everyone didn't take the time to fix theirs because it was easy to do. A few holes had some severely slanted fairways, so watch your shots until they come to a stop. Tee boxes were not always level, adding to the challenge. Sand traps had some standing water and were very wet at the time. There were a few blind shots - probably should add a bell or some signal, as we were almost hit once. Pace was a bit slow on the back nine. Overall a nice course to play in a pretty setting. We saw some deer and some turkeys.
First Time
The course was in really good shape. The greens were recently aerated but rolled consistently. The rough is no joke. Course knowledge would definitely be beneficial due to the number of blind shots but that’s not something you can buy. Will definitely be back.
Great Course and Outing
First time here and played as a single from 915 - 1245. Course in great shape: greens quick, fairways/rough cut well. Course staff working. Will be back!
Waste of money
Booked through GolfNow. Listing did not advise that greens were being aerated or that the front nine holes were closed for a frisbee golf tournament.
Staff was rude and and course was not lady-friendly. !!!
Unless you like being lied to and treated like your invading a home stay away!!! STAY FAR away from this place.....
What a shame. You’ll take your life in your hands when you play. My wife and I were hit into three different times. I hope the people who own this GOLF not frizz-bee course. Read this and take a long hard look at how they are operating this place. It has a lot potential to be a nice place. Not Great tough.
I can’t believe that crap like this is going on at a golf course that’s priced as high as this one. I normally don’t write reviews, I’m as laid back as they get. But I can promise you this. I’d never step back on this again.
Good luck if do.
Greens are horrible.
The greens are in really bad shape. Aerification marks are still present several weeks removed from them being aerified. The greens are so slow it is frustrating to see a putt that consistently won't stay on line or hops do the uneven rough green conditions, not to mention they still have a ton of sand on them. These greens have not been the same since a few years back when they had to aerify twice within a couple of months because the greens were like concrete. So many divot marks not fixed and I could almost bet they don't roll the greens on a regular basis. I used to play here quite a bit but now it is my least favorite course in the area.
Warriors Path
This is one you need to play if you're in the area. It has some very interesting holes and "chick friendly" enough to enable the ladies to be in contention. The course was in great shape and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The Tri Cities area is hard to beat for beautiful courses with views and affordable rates. As always, check with Golf Now before booking for great deals!
Good Conditions and Good Value
I am always suprised how good the course conditions are compared to other courses. Over the years, it seems like as other course conditions begin to decline in warmer weather, this course seems to always prevail. Greens were good, fairways mowed wilh with plenty of grass on them, and the tees in good shape as well. Snack bar was closed at 5:00 as we finished our round, so that was a little disappointing. Other than that, no complaints. This course has gotten better over the years and the practice range and green are good as well.
Great Value
I played during the week, and the course was in great shape. The course was a little wet, but still played fine. Course is well maintained and has a starter and rangers to ensure pace of play is followed. It does seem to be a course that is walked by a lot of people at least when I was there. There was nothing about the course that I could complain about, and for $32 on a weekday and $36 on the weekend this is a steal. Only thing I would say is that there is a lot of elevation to the course, but nothing that should deter someone from playing, but not a course I would personally would want to walk but a lot of people do.
