Sleepy Hollow Golf Course

About
Sleepy Hollow Golf Course is the top municipal course in the state and it is also ranked as one of the top 20 in the nation. Overlooking the Cuyahoga River Valley, the course is known for its scenery almost as much as its challenging layout. It has a traditional design with a classic "out-and-in" routing, with the incoming holes playing uphill into the wind, making them seem much longer than the indicated yardage. Golfers might be taken aback by the punishing nature of the golf course. There are 58 bunkers strategically placed around the tough greens, which comprise the main challenges of the course. Get ready to be quickly introduced to the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course's formidability with the lengthy second hole, a par 3 that will test even the longest hitters.

Matthew
Course is beautiful, but pace of play was extremely slow. We were backed up the whole day.
Greens
Greens are just too sloped and difficult - we are not professionals. Makes the game unfun and slows down play drastically. I can't recommend to anyone because the greens are ridiculous. It's like putting on a clown-course putt putt.
Great course. Pace of play slow.
Always in good shape. Challenging course. Staff friendly. But it took us 5 hours and 9 minutes to play 18. We waited on every hole. Our tee time was 2 pm. My understanding is they don't have any rangers past 2 or 3 o'clock.
Good Bones
This is a vintage old school golf course carved nicely into the gently rolling terrain. Hardly a repurposed cow pasture. Normally wide fairways flanked by trees and deep rough that will punish wayward drives. Bunkers are generously filled with fine white sand. But the fleet of old model golf carts lack rain protection for the clubs and GPS screens.. My parking break did not work. But overall this was a very good experience.
Great layout, challenging course, fast greens
Love this course! Great layout that makes you think about where you want play you tee shot. Course is in great condition, green roll smooth and fast.
Beautiful course with nice staff
Played this course many times but had the best customer service experience today. The course seems to have replaced unhelpful staff with extremely helpful staff. Gary, started us and Doug assisted on the course, both were excellent!
They cancelled my tee time and handled it very poorly.
Staff with friendly smiles who have no actual understanding of how to take responsibility for a problem they cause and blame everything on “it’s just two computers talking”. They had my reservation for several days and instead of contacting anyone to cancel it they waited till we drove (two people coming from different directions) an hour each to tell us at the course that “oh that should have never been booked”.
There’s far more to it than this. But I’m done typing. Very very poor customer service or even understanding of customer service. If anyone from Cleveland metroparks management reads this, please leave a contact phone number.
Standing behind a counter and smiling when everything is smooth is the easy part of customer service. Smiling while you (literally) tell someone “not my problem” and “the course had nothing to do with this” is beyond abysmal.
Based on the way this was handled and the things they said - I can only assume it’s a regular problem with online bookings and that many golf now / golf pass members are turned away at the counter. I would of course advice against booking here.
Great course, top to bottom
I absolutely love this course! The staff is super friendly, the course layout is great and in great shape! Rough is a little thick and the greens are super fast, but that's what makes this course so challenging and one of the best public courses I have ever played!
Can’t beat fall golf
Course was in great shape for being late October. Greens rolled true. Beautiful views. All around, great course.
True Test
Simply put, best course around, one of the most challenging on all levels.
Beautiful course
It’s a vibe! Shot my worst of Season 😅😩 but great course! I’d definitely double back if I can get 26$ again lol
Cool course
Course is in good shape, nice track but a little tough. Would definitely play again with 26$ hot deal! 🏌🏽
Real Tough
Best come prepared, in the immortal words of Big Daddy Kane " Ain't no half Steprpin" , you better bring your A game for real
