Harpeth Hills Golf Course

About
Set in Percy Warner Park, the Harpeth Hills Golf Course is well-lauded for being one of the best public golf facilities in Tennessee, not bad for a golf course first laid out in 1965 and then redone in 1991, enhancing the playability and showcasing the landscape.
The Harpeth Hills Golf Course's par-72 championship design sits in a natural wildlife habitat and challenges all levels of golfer - and, after that 1991 redesign, was named a regional qualifying site for the USGA Public Links Championship.
After a round on the Harpeth Hills Golf Course, head back to the clubhouse for a nibble from the food bar, a peek at the big-screen television set or a bit of chitchat with the locals.

Great challenging course and very friendly staff. Greens are crowned and challenging.
Great Municipal Course
Despite weeks and weeks of rain, Harpeth Hills has held up quite well. The greens are extremely true for a muni and there are some interesting holes, especially on the back 9. When the wind picks up like it did today, the course can play quite long from the back. For it being the middle of winter I thought conditions were great aside from a few tee boxes (most notably the par 3 15th) which were basically put in the rough since the actual back tee boxes are covered for the winter. This is my vote for the best municipal course in Nashville.
A Nashville golf staple
Can always depend on Harpeth Hills for a good experience. Such a picturesque setting amongst the hills of SW Davidson County. Next door to Steeplechase, so when playing the back 9 be on lookout for horse-back riders. One of my favorite area courses. Can't beat the value, especially when you walk. Always decently maintained. Great mix of easy and hard holes. Good exercise too. A Nashville staple ...
Metro Parks Gem
I have been playing this course for 47 years. Lots of elevation changes, very little water. Well protected greens. I get in a greenside bunker every round. I still prefer to walk it. New greens can be hard and fast. Metro does a nice job managing the flow of play on busy weekends.
Nice Nashville course
1st time playing this course. It was a chilly morning to start the round but turned into a nice day. Several blind shots and no markings on the course made a few holes fairly difficult because we did not know how the hole played so they could use some markers showing you the hole, luckily we had a gps to help us. Greens were extremely fast and rolled smooth.
GREAT CONDITION , GREENS IMMACULATE
The course was in as good a shape as i have seen it in sometime. If would play it more often but there is greater value available most of the time elsewhere.
I will be back , soon.........
Awesome
The course was well taken care of and the greens rolled great.
Really enjoyed the greens
The best part of this course in my opinion is the greens. They were in fantastic shape and rolled very well. The course was mowed and clean cut balls set up nicely in fairways. This is a pretty difficult course from the championship tees. Finding the fairway is a premium to survival. I would rate this course a 4star and for a public city course a 5star. Worth playing!
Top Muni
Always an enjoyable day, even when game isn't "on". This course has such a variety of hole shapes & distances that all levels of golfers can enjoy. Few forced carries on any shot.
Great Value ! !
The course has challenging sections that can also be very rewarding. I have never played there when the course (greens and fairways) is well manicured. Still fun to play, and easy on the pocket book. Good for a public course!
