Squaw Creek Golf Club

About
Ralph Plummer built this in the early 1970s for employees of the Lockheed Martin plant, but today Squaw Creek is open to the public. Its namesake creek runs through the property, and the course is popular because of its sloping, bermuda grass greens. Walkers might have a rough go of it, as the terrain is fairly rugged and there are significant elevation changes.
Playing from the tips, you’ll face quite a few 400-yard-plus par 4s, and a pair of par 3s that are over 200 yards. The number one handicap is the 595-yard No. 16.
Getting there : From I-30 west, take the 418 exit and turn right on Ranch House Rd. The entrance is on the left side of the road.

Pretty course but waste of money
By far the worst management of any golf course in the metroplex. Carts have to be in earlier than any course I’ve played, and they still make you pay full price even if you’re only gonna get 11-12 holes in. They also, on a busy day, are letting multiple groups of 5-6 people so if you had time to play just 9, well you may only get 4-5 because they let so many people play together. However when I asked to have a 5 man scramble to keep up with pace on a slow day I was turned down. Very upset and will not be returning here.
L Marshal
Initially, me and 4 other of my friends were playing 18 holes. After about 5 holes, we noticed a single playing behind us and asked if he wanted to join us since he was our friend playing alone. It was practically empty, and there were maybe 3 other groups of 4-5 all spaced like 30 minutes apart from each other, so it was impossible that either party would catch up to one another. After 9 holes, the marshal stopped us and told us we couldn’t play in a party of 6 and gave no reason other than it was “just against policy.” There was no other reason to intervene with us playing other than to ruin our day and be a narc. He also furthered his influence of authority when he saw there were only 5 sets of clubs and there were 6 of us. For some reason, it is “just against policy” to share clubs, and the only reason it is is so they can force people to purchase their clubs. The only silver lining was that he let us continuing playing but we had to kick out our friend for no apparent reason. We finished and saw no one around. Also, he said that residents that live next to the course would “call in a heartbeat” if they saw 6 people in a party which makes absolutely no sense as they aren’t golfing and we aren’t bugging anyone.
Overall, decent course, terrible marshal that enforces his power whenever he sees the opportunity.
This course never disappoints
I've yet to have a bad experience at this course. It's always in great shape. Never overly crowded. Challenging and enjoyable.
A great golf course . Fun layout !
If more golfers knew about this awesome course , it would be packed everyday !!! The fairways are like carpet . The greens are super soft so you can go right at the sticks . Somewhat slick on the downhillers . Hitting the fairways ARE A MUST and there are a lot of tree lined fairways and several overhanging limbs making placement a must !! Every hole is a blast to play . The Club Pro is absolutely the friendliest and will let you know he appreciates you being there !!! A MUST GOLF COURSE TO PLAY !!! You will be totally impressed !!
Nice Greens
The softest most receptive greens in parker county. You will leave divots and pitch marks. Nice to play a course were the greens are receptive.
typical texas fairways. They seem to move the tee boxes and pin locations daily or it least every 3 days.
Snack bar is limited and on an honor system.
Leave your driver in the bag on several short difficult par 4's.
Greens are the best !!!
Most courses do not allow more than 4 players in a group, so one that allows 5 somes are rare. Only ones I know that allow 6+ are full private, part of what you are paying for.
Sounds to me like you just do not like being informed of the rules and have to abide by them. Most likely someone, either playing or a member living around the course, called to complain. To also try and belittle someone who is only doing their job is petty. I'm sure you have policies you might not agree with where you work but have to follow and enforce.
