About
Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa sits along the banks of Lake Huron with Sarnia to the East and London just 45 minutes west. The course has a links-style layout that stretches to 6,782 yards from the back tees. Designed by Rene Muylaert, the creation of the golf course required over a million tons of earth to be moved to the site. It was then molded and shaped into rolling terrain that offers a tough but fair test. The namesake creek comes into play on 13 holes and there are also several strategically placed bunkers that lurk beside the greens. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing to the high handicapper. In addition to the golf course, Sawmill Creek also has a driving range available for warming up.

A course that could be great
It is a good golf course that could be great, but the pace of play and excess moisture on the fairways and bunkers hold it back. Due to the issues above, the $70-a-round price is not justified.

Greens were just punched. Had to replay the front 9 twice. Wait a few days to play. Other than that, the course was in great shape.
Just okay
This is a good course that could be great. The pace of play, cost, and the blue tee box conditions are three issues with this course. The greens are fast and challenging, and the overall condition of the course is good.

Interesting course, great staff, friendliness and professionalism… No driving range
I played this course on a weekday early a.m.. Excellent pace of play was greeted in the parking lot by a staff member and had a good lunch overlooking the lake after playing 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours.
One of the nicer courses in the area it can play up to 6700 yards and with a number of dog legs plays longer. Greens were in perfect shape. Had a great time …good value.

Top notch! Greens were lightning fast and rolling awesome! Land it short and let it roll! Gotta work on the 40 ft lag putts! 3 putts guaranteed!

Sawmill is a great track. The staff is very friendly and professional. The course is always in great condition. It’s a tough track with several challenging holes; bring your A game.
As soon as we got to the course we were told that we may not be able to make it to 18 holes because they had a large group of twenty and to go to hole 10 after hole 1. We were told to be done by 7:30.
