New Pink Tees
Pink tees that serve the same purpose for ladies that gold tees do for senior men have been added to seven holes. My wife loved them! They make playing these holes much more enjoyable for ladies who may not hit the ball quite as far as they did a few years ago.
This is a fun course! Especially after you've played it a few times! Course management is critical.
Greens are outstanding. Fairways are hard; you'll get a good roll. Mountain scenery is awesome!
Pace of play can be a problem on weekends. I've had quick rounds, and I've had slow rounds. Leave yourself an extra hour for the slow days.
Southern Hospitality at its Finest
Staff at this course is super friendly and helpful; southern hospitality at its finest! I played this challenging course on a damp Sunday morning following heavy rain the evening/night before. The course was soft, but well drained -- especially the greens which were surprisingly fast. The front nine is very hilly with some blind holes. The back nine is flatter, but Wolf Creek and a man-made lake bring water into play on quite a few holes. Getting from green to tee is a bit confusing on the back nine. Pace was a little slow as I was a single following a foursome. A threesome caught up to me on 16; so, we played the last three holes as a foursome. These guys were members, and they made me feel very welcome. What a great way to finish a round!
