Home of the 19998 PGA Championship
Sahalee is not an easy ticket but if you get the chance to play here by all means take advantage. Course is tree lined and can get in your head if you let it. There is more room out there then it looks like so pick a line, commit to it and swing away. Despite all the trees they have cleaned out the underbrush so short of dunking it in one of the many water hazards it's hard to lose a ball. Deep and plentiful bunkers fairway and greenside. Greens are raised, fast and contoured lots of fun. Course is hilly we rode and I would recommend it but walk between tee's is not bad so course is walkable. It was late spring when we played and wet so not a lot of roll however it was in great shape and as tight as they mow it I imagine it plays fairly firm in the summer months. Nice practice area and beautiful clubhouse. If you get the opportunity don't pass it up.
Tight Golf Course
This course was one of the most challenging courses I have ever played. The fairways are very narrow and lined with very impressive pine trees. Its like like Tiger Woods where you can cut corners and take it over the trees.
