Excellent course, deceptively hard.
Glen Acres has been my go-to local course for the end-of-summer/fall months, and it has been wonderful. Fairway lies are mostly a challenge. Green speeds and pin positions are always a challenge. Uphill and downhill shots are a challenge. There aren't any dog-legs unless you play the blue tee box on hole #9, but you won't miss that type of challenge as you deal with all the other ones. It's a perfect course for developing and testing shot-making skill at every distance. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Just a fantastic course.
Hidden Gem who knew.
Sweet 9 hole course in great shape. The greens are very challenging and narrow fairways make you stay straight. Hilly terrain makes for a tough walk if you’re a senior. Large trees also come into play and makes holes interesting as well as several well placed bunkers and water hazards. I will be back again to try to better my terrible first time effort.
Nice little coyrse
We enjoyed played this challenging nine hole course. A great value and will return!
Not informed dress code and one rude member golfer
My friend and I were 10 minutes late because we were new and not familiar with that area of town, South of Sodo, White Center, and off 509. We called ahead to the clubhouse to inform them. After we played first hole, unbeknowst to us, a golf member drove the cart to our green at the 2nd hole and yielded "If you don't know how to play, then play somewhere else." We were shocked. Later a course marshall came on the 3 rd hole and said "we should be kicked out of the course because of jean and warm up pant. " NO ONE had warned us either online or when we checked in. We thought this is an entirely public course and country club was a thing of past, since which golf country club would let public make reservation. We felt so unwelcome and intimidated. Our play experience was affected. The course is fine. We would like to play again under the right condition.
Challenging course
Lots of hills and uneven lies and trees make this a good challenge. Wear a shirt with a collar. Nice staff.
nice course
9 hole mostly par 4
course well kept
foursome ladies before me, yet pace was good
didn't see many others on course
enjoyed my round
Glen Acres
Very well maintained golf course, secluded and was not backed up so I could play at my own pace.
Mud bath @ Glendale
I love this course, but it was not kept up due to the early part of the season. I lost 9 balls that were struck in the fairways and or on approach due to be being plugged!!! So, not a fault of the course, just really frustrating to have to search a lot...then have to drop another ball.
Glen Acres / Fall weather
Everything was great except the GolNow $4.00 fee. I think it should be &1.00 per person.
Super Fun
I really appreciate that this 9 hole course has two different sets of tees so you can play the holes differently!
Very well maintained and fun. I wish there was some more variation (each hole is just straight) but the elevation changes added some excitement.
Glen Acres 9-hole course
I played nine holes starting about 8:00 AM during the week. I think I was the only golfer on the course for about 45 minutes. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The course is hilly and a little challenging for a senior golfer that is walking. I enjoyed It and may play it again. Thanks
Swamp!
I usually love this course! I understand that it is private and know members and have known members in the past that I was able to play with! This course gets completely ruined by rain! For as long as they have been there..you would think that they would have slowly fixed drainage one hole at a time! Waste of money right now..steer clear! And. The only time golf now is involved now days is when nobody will play it so..they have to get extra money somehow! Thought about a membership before but..not I only have to pay for months when you can actually play!

We have a new superintendent this year (2018) addressing a lot of the drainage issues. However, I must say, Glen Acres is not the only course in the Pacific Northwest during the rainy months with those same issues. Please come back and see if you don't notice a big difference.
Very close
Staff very friendly- course in excellent condition-great value for the $
So sorry about that. I am a resident and golf member of this club and I want to tell you that not all of us are like that. I like to think that most of us are really friendly. Please come back and play as we really appreciate your patronage. Don't let one bad apple spoil the bunch. Get out there, play, and have fun.
