November golf
Very fortunate to have this weather in Central Washington in late November. No wind, but cool temp. Apple Tree greens were in great shape for this time of year.
Apple Time
We play Apple Tree annually if not twice during the season. You just gotta do the 17th. We just call it the Apple although many names come to mind after you've just doubled it from getting yourself wet!
Course was in very good condition despite having a record amount of rain in Oct. Greens were in excellent shape and rolled smooth and true. Fore mid handicappers from the blues it's a stiff challenge at 72.5 136 6658. But the course is staged for all golfers to have a memorable round!
We highly recommend just for the chance to play the "Apple"!
Apple Tree
Really fun course! Par 5's are long and the wind ads to the challenge on the par 3's.
Great course
Wonderful course, greens were in great shape, however, sprinklers were on, on a couple of holes on the back nine and I had to wait for the sprinkler to go past my ball on one hole so that I cold play w/o getting soaked. On the next hole I got drenched just after I teed off which also got the cart and my equipment.
Great course. .
Absolutely gorgeous course. Waterfalls and woodland water everywhere with meandering creeks. 17th hole alone is worth the trip. Staff was very nice. Great course for the $$,
Great course and very playable even though water is in play on many holes
Terrific course that both my wife and I enjoyed. Only disappointment was they were sanding the greens right in front of us almost the whole round and we were never given the courtesy in advance of playing that they were sanding.
Nicer than most of the public courses
I started playing a lot this year again and mostly played public courses in Seattle (ex. Jackson, Walter Hall, Legion, etc...) Greens are managed very well. Rough is really tough, so you always want to hit on fairway (I mostly focus on hitting as far as I can on public courses since public course roughs are not that bad to come out)
Don't get me wrong I love to play on public courses and will be playing public since green fees are more manageable and close to the cities.
Pros: Greens, 17th Hole (attached picture), somewhat challenging to weekend public course golfer
cons: Back 9 (10-15) going thru the neighborhood ( I personally don't like it)
Great Experience
My wife and I enjoyed a round at Apple Tree with a 3:00PM tee time. I have never started this late in the day. It felt like the last group in a Sunday PGA event. If you ever plan a golf trip to the Eastern Washington area Apple Tree is a must. The fall is a great time of year as the temperatures moderate and the apples are full of fall colors
Wow, What a wonderfull course!!
I got such a great deal from Golfnow.com that I assumed this was an average course. I had heard about the 17th Apple shaped green, but that doesn't mean it is a good course!
It wasn't until I got there and saw the beautiful clubhouse and the modern fleet of carts that I realized what a screaming deal I had gotten. Even the putting green was pro quality. It was like a dream!!
This course was immaculate! It had just the right amount of challenge and gave the correct risk reward. No GPS, so I recommend you get the yardage book. No pro tips, but helped me break 90! It was in the upper 90's so make sure you have plenty of fluids. There was nobody out there when I started at 3pm so I was done in 2:45 minutes.
If you like challenging, beautiful courses, with plenty of sand and water this may be your dream course. I almost wish I lived in Yakima so that I could frequent this little gem of a course. Wow, is exactly what you will be saying when you try this course too!
Beautiful course
Beautiful course with friendly staff.
Overpriced for late afternoon; pace was s-l-o-w.
golf now right now
my first time using golf now I would say was a complete success I had a great time.
the clubhouse knew My name when I got there and I just enjoyed my round it was great 18 thumbs up !!!
Great course
Love the course, views, and happy hour is great pricing so time your rounds accordingly!
Great day
Course in good shape, sand traps could use some work. Finished round in just over 4 hours. Greens were in great shape.
Winter Rates
Course is open during winter schedule and rate is lower by just showing up.
Paid $58 by booking online but could have paid $40 as a walk up.
Perfect Fall Day
A beautiful course made even more so by the beautiful Autumn weather. The orchards and other landscaping were stunning.
Perfect Day, Great Course
Love the course, very friendly staff, and nice friendly fellow golfers. Fall colors and nice weather made for a perfect day for both my wife and myself.
Great course!
This is the first time I played this course. Love the layout and condition. For those who don't like blind tee shots (ie my friend John G), this course might not be your cup of tea. But there are only 3 or 4 of them that way. Made a couple of friends while playing there. Beautiful club House. Definitely will be back (hopefully next month)!
Wish I lived closer!
A very pleasant Sunday afternoon of golf. Felt like we were the only golfers out there, so pace of play was most excellent! Condition of course was nearly perfect, had to put a little bit extra on the putts to get them to the hole. Old farm equipment placed on a few holes on the front nine and waterfall on back nine, plenty to look at and enjoy. A gem of a course, wish I lived closer!
