Nice course ruined by slow play
This was not the first time I have played Cumberland. And it's always the same: packed with local crappy golfers who are allowed to play in 5 and 6 somes who are busy chatting and never playing ready-golf. Nice course and staff, but the pace of play is unbearable for a small town course.
Good par 3's
Lots of uphill, kind of long 4's on front, greens very good. Good variety of holes, need careful play on the back.
Nice course
It's a nice course with a good layout and challenging holes. Course was in very good condition. Pace was slow. There were events and 5-somes all over the course. Will avoid the weekends in the future.
Beautiful Day on the Links
Love Cumberland golf course. We live nearby. The staff is so welcoming & friendly. We played 18 holes and was paired up with a 3rd player who was super nice and new to the area. We found the course to be in very good shape with fast greens and some challenging holes. We did lose several balls to the ponds :(
Keep up the great work at Cumberland. We'll be back before the flakes fly!
Cumberland GC
Very nice track. Challenging back nine great greens . Bunkers need some help so stay out there. Good value for the money
first timer
Love the course needing more signage on where the holes are
Fun course with variety and challenge
This course was a fun course with variety in each hole. A great balance, of water, elevation change, bunkers, and distance change make this course very joyful to play. Overall, the course is in good shape and the greens well manicured. The course requires good precision to score well but is forgiving enough for all golfers. A fun little gem for sure.
Beautiful day
Great day weather was awesome and the course conditions were really nice considering the rain. Always more fun when you are teamed up with 2 fun golfers
Fun layout, solid conditions, great staff.
Was not expecting much out of this “up north” course and was very surprised by what I got. Not overly long, but does require decisions and smart play off the tee. Front 9 is pretty open, back 9 is mostly wooded and fairly tight…you’ll find most of your errant tee shots.
There are better courses in the area (Turtleback/Big Fish) but this is a hidden gem and by far the best value around.
Great course, great staff and Great Value!
Wow,
What a great day spent at the Cumberland Golf course. The staff was very friendly, the pace of play was great and the course was in fantastic shape. This might be the best kept secret in Northern WI. I will be back again for sure!
PS The barbeque at the Northwoods restaurant was a good value the burnt ends and pulled pork were delicious.
