Lake Geneva Country Club

Got the opportunity to play Lake Geneva Country Club and wow oh wow was that a treat. Not my typical place I get to play and for sure one of the more high end places I have been. The place is gorgeous set along Lake Geneva, the people were super nice and very friendly. Pro shop has a nice selection of high end things and some cool things to add to your mancave.

Now to the golf course. Front nine runs along the outer portions of the course and the back nine runs the middle of the property. It is a lovely track that is fairly flat but the mounds and bunkers are wonderfully executed to make you think on every tee shot and hit shots around as they are right in your landing area. That being said their is not a lot of trouble besides the bunkers and the rough isnt to long. The greens are amazing with a handful of them being squared greens that are so cool. If you are able to hit greens you have a great chance to score because these greens are so smooth and true if you get it on line it has a chance to go in.

I was a big fan of holes 7-9 as you play back towards the lake. 7 is a par 5 reachable in 2 if you hit a good drive and avoid the well places bunkers. If you play 3 shots must watch out for the false front. 8 is short par 4 but again with well placed bunkers at 250 on the left and 290 on the right from the black tees. Miss those and good chance at birdie. 9 is a great 170 yd par 3 running along the lake with breath taking views.

This course is top notch and if you every get invited go and play for sure.
