Poor Course Management
Use to be our go-to course. Between my friends and I we would spend over $1500.00 a month at Crooked Tree. Greens are nice and fairway well kept. Bunkers have very little sand and may have water in them for several days after a rain. The front nine fairways have several drainage farrows running thru them. The majority of carts are extremely slow and really need replaced.
Owners seem to care less about the golfers. During the week the maintenance crew will work right through your game. Sometimes you may have the misfortune of being followed around on several holes with mowers, or a guy watering the greens in front of you. Very very frustrating. They have no courtesy to golfers even around the greens or tee boxes, most of the time they will not stop or turn the equipment off. I realize they have to maintain the course, but the paying golfers are the reason they are employed.
On the weekend it's very backed up and there are no rangers to keep things moving. If there are rangers, they must be hiding. It's all about the $$$ not the players. And God forbid, you better not make any suggestion on how to improve the golfer’s experience.
Sooo much Risk and Reward
This course has its fair share of risk/reward situations. Greens are in great shape and roll pretty well. Fairways are nice and green
My Go To
This is my go to course. This is the best kept secret. I love Crooked Tree.
Good value
Not much has changed in the last year since I played here last. The course is in good shape for what it is. The greens roll nice and smooth and the grass was cut. Two completely different 9s with the back being the more fun and interesting of the 2. $20 for 18 holes with a cart is a really good deal at Crooked Tree.
Good Course. Two different 9s
I usually play Crooked Tree when I am in the area once a year. It is a great value for the money at $25 on a weekday morning. Played on a Monday morning with very little business at the course. Course is in good shape. Greens are smooth and fast. Fairways were a little burnt up on the front but in good shape on the back. And overall course was in good shape. As mentioned it is two completely different 9s. Front is side by side tree lined holes. Going up and back with thick tree lines between them and very small greens. The back is much more wide open much larger greens and more hazards in play. For sure it's worth a play.
Two in one
Front side tight with small greens (Donald Ross). Back nine open with large greens and lots of water. Interesting track.
Simple golf course
I clean, clear course. If you like wide open this is the course for you.
Overall nice course
They had plugged and sanded greens, but they weren't too bad. Fairways played pretty good. Greens will be in good shape in a cpl weeks, I would say. Will play again.
Family friendly
Had a great nite, will definitely be back! Friendly staff, fun course!
Great greens. Rough fairways
Have played here several times and enjoy the course and it has been in good shape. But this year the greens were in great shape but over half the fairways were roped off and in terrible shape. In some spots the fairway was almost unplayable. The course is 2 very different 9s. The front is basically side by side straight par 4s with pretty tight tree lines and very small greens. . The back is much more wide open, longer, and much larger greens. It's a fun place to play but know the fairways are awful right now.

CGood course, good rate. Would recommend this course for play. A couple of holes were water damaged and were difficult to play. Enjoyed!!
Great course with some challange
Overall the course was in good shape save for a few fairways. Tee boxes were all in excellent shape. Would gladly play again here.
Beware of the fairways!!!
I have to say that this is the worst i have seen this course in all the times i have played here. The greens are not too bad, but the fairways are atrocious. I dont know what really happen to the fairways, but its non playable. Worst conditions i have seen on this course, and i played here alot. I wont be back for a while. Also i hate the fact that they pair you up with other golfers who also book online. When i book 2 players, we just want to get out there and be done in 2 or 3 hours, i don't to wait for others to join us. Overall, would not recommend this course to anyone until they fix those fairways!!!
Crooked Tree
The greens on the front side are no bigger than a nickel but that's because they were built in the 50's...back side greens were much bigger. All of the greens were in great shape. The fairways on the other hand were not...some serious winter kill took out several fairways on the back side.
Bad Fairways
This was my first time playing the course and probably my last. Several fairways were roped off with very little or no grass the back 9 was in the worst shape (number 15 fairway was all but unplayable due to mud and standing water). On a positive note the greens were in good shape. Overall I was not impressed with this course.
If you can play this course for under $15 it may be worth it.
This course is not a bad layout. Front nine is tight, back nine it opens up.
Played this course a couple a weeks ago and it was in very bad shape, the greens were in good shape but the fairways was full of mud. I wish I knew how bad condition the course was before I played it. I can't believe they didn't give everybody a discount just to play this course. I have been playing golf over 50 years and this was the worst experience I have every had. I hate to say this, but I will not be going back there again.
Return golfer
Love the course, but please get the back 9 straightened out. It's always under construction or partially off limits.
Stay away
This course is way overpriced for its current condition. Most fairways are destroyed and most tee boxes are destroyed. Very little grass if any in fairways(mainly dirt) and some tee boxes have been moved to places that are almost unplayable. Much better courses in the area for the money. I don't like to talk bad about courses but we got fleeced playing here.
Don't waste your time
Course in terrible condition: majority of tee boxes over watered and muddy, hole 10 converted to par 3 hole 17 basically closed due to muddy conditions. FYI hasn't rained in weeks. Staff not friendly at all.
