Needs to be sold to someone else to manage it
Course needs new management. Honestly a good layout but the conditions are atrocious. Greens are in horrible shape. I don’t think the course even had 50% grass on it. Mostly weeds. I remember 10 years ago and this course was on par with Rock Creek now it’s so bad it makes crappy munis like Quail Creek and Lake Forest look like gems. Even on a $20 hot deal it still feels like your paying too much.
Love this course.
I’ve only been golfing for just less than a year, and out of the 5-6 courses I’ve been to around here, the staff at Timbercreek is by far the best, and it makes the entire experience well worth it. I’m a young, newer golfer so a lot of places don’t really like having young people who aren’t great at golf and don’t have a lot of money (aren’t members of 40 years lol). Will always come here and recommend coming here if you’re someone like myself whom appreciates a good staff more than anything.
Recent Round
This use to be a very well maintained course, I’m not sure what happened to it. I remember them holding the Alabama High School golf championship at this course years ago.
Unfortunately it is in need of some serious work. The fairways are mainly dirt, the greens are very bad and the sand traps are full of rocks and debris.
The course layout is very challenging with some very nice holes, it is a real shame that this course hasn’t been maintained.

Course layout is pretty good. The condition of the fairways and greens are horrible. Deep craters on the greens making it difficult to put. Weeds all over the greens. Greens need work badly. Not currently worth the money they are charging to play.
Course needs to be sold
If you want to go and play a practice round ok. The course is in horrible shape. I hope someone invests in changing the course. Years ago this was a great course as good as the Robert Trent Jones courses in Alabama.
One of my favorite spots
Love these people and I love the way the course plays. They’ve been struggling a little bit with the condition of the course over the past year or so; but within the last few months, it’s taken a drastic turn for the greater. Not to mention these people are always so professional and so kind, no matter what age you are and/or if you have a membership at their location. THAT’S the main reason why I’ll always come back to Timbercreek. The staff.
Bunkers could really use some renovation and additional sand. Greens could really use some help as well. Love to see this course in the condition it was when it first opened.
Needs Alot of Improvement
Course is in very poor condition. It has really gone down hill since I played it in 2020. Sugeat looking elsewhere.
Not good
I came back into town for my son's birthday and was looking forward to playing. But the course was in horrible condition - probably one of the worst golf courses I have played in a long time.
Poor condition
Course needs some work. Greens are god awful. Beware of the pop machine out there. Two year expired sodas in there
Winter greens
Conditions, and reviews, will improve once the grass starts growing again.Right now the greens are composed of annoying bits of poanna and not much else.
Lots of Fun
Nice layout. Fun to play. Great staff. Awesome food.

1st time at this course. Went out as a single but hooked up with a local couple on 2nd hole. It was also there 1st time on this course.
They also enjoyed the course and the layout. The greens were the only ? Mark. We all agreed that for the price we couldn’t ask for more.
I would golf there again.
Great Potential
Course has great basic design but is in need of major overhaul. I played the Oaks then the Pines. The Oaks greens were bumpy and there were several washed out areas in and along the fairways. Pines was better but not great. Staff was first class and clubhouse and food were excellent. Carts also need replacing or reconditioning.
