Beautiful and challenging course
A gem tucked away in Royersford. Great course where the terrain makes this a challenging spot. Hate to blame other players for pace and not give that portion a better score, but they weren’t the best on this day. But besides that, course is in great shape for the end of the season and over 50 days without substantial rain. Will definitely return in the future.
Turtle Creek - worth playing!
Challenging layout but fair. You can score here. Course always in good shape. Staff is friendly. Fairways are always excellent.
Dry conditions caused cart path only restriction
Turtle Creek is always in good shape, as the owners have been in the turf growing business a long time. While I can honestly say I have never seen a course go cart path only because of lack of rain, I think the course is better off for it. Course conditions were great, and tee times were 12 minutes apart to reflect the cart path only restriction. But even that was not enough to turn it into a 4 hr and 20 minute round. Only complaint about Turtle Creek is you cannot book online as a single, even if the tee time is less than 2 hours in the future. But love the course layout, architecture, and playing conditions.
Worth Every Penny
Immaculate, private country club conditions and superb greens. Watch out for 18, it requires thought and decisiveness. Great track!
Great Bang for the Buck
The course was full even though it was raining. Drove from West Chester but well worth it as the course was in great shape. We got to the first tee and the starter was great in asking the foursome in front if our twosome could get in front of them and we did.
Worth It
I wasn't sure if we were going to get the round in due to al the hurricane rain coming up the coast but I was surprised at how many cars were in the lot when I arrived. We jumped on a cart and the starter asked the twosome (who were waiting for 2 buddies) if we can play through and they let us so off we went. the tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens were in great shape. It drizzled almost the whole time but pace was fine until we hit 15 and the group in front finally let us through allowing us to finish in the light. Great day all around. Worth the 45 min drive and the money we paid.
Great course....but
As always, love this course but found it extremely strange that it was cart path only. It hadn't rained in our area for at least 2 weeks and the conditions seemed to be perfect. NOT A COMPLAINT, but its a long walk if you're not into that.
Slow pace
My golf partner and I were told by the starter we were to go out with 2 other golfers that were already at the white tee box.My partner hits from the blue tee box.We headed to blue and guys on white already hit and heading to the 1st fairway.Next thing we notice is they are playing with 2 other golfers who we believe were ahead of them..After they became a foursome ,the pace kept getting slower and slower. Finally ,on the back nine we said sonething to the ranger .He offered to go talk to the foursome. They pace didn't change much .The a the golfers behind us starting hitting into us and almost hit my partner.Again we spoke to the ranger and he offered to go speak with them. Two holes later , they tried to hit into us again .My partner went and demanded the ranger make them stop.We got so frustrated with the pace and concern for our safety, we skipped Hole 17 and just played 18 in a hurry and left.
