Not Bad
It is a good course for beginners like myself. I was a guest for the day and I would go back again.
much Improve.
Course has improved 90% since new owner took over. Relaxing yet challenging course. I'd go back in a minute!
Not worth the $15
I have played at this course in the past and thought that it was okay for a cheap course for beginners. I went back again this morning to play 18 and I was extremely upset by the fairways; there were very few good lie options. Additionally, while I was golfing a mower continued to golf the greens before, during, and after I was playing a hole which was very frustrating. I do not recommend this course.
Dont waste your money here
This course could be nice if they would spend some money on it. The flags don't fit the cups properly and always leaning. the fairways are hard as a rock and dry all the time. the greens are grainy. the golf carts need new batteries and you will be lucky if you can get 18 holes. the food is sub par. The driving range is dry as a bone and they don't fill in any divots to try and make it look good or water it. Go to Meadow Links in Fort Gaines, GA. It is very nice and well worth it.
Buddy Trip
We planned a good buddy trip down to Auburn to play the RTJ course and afterwards decided to try the CC of Alabama. Saw decent reviews, but the course was in horrible condition. Wanted us to stay on cart path when there wasn't a cart path, there wasn't directions from green to next tee box, got a little lost on 2 occasions since you had to go across the street to find another path. Overall will never play again. Very sad to say since the people working were very nice and polite.
Good Value and layout
Very interesting and challenging layout, great bang for your buck if you book a hot deal on golf now. Play early and the pace of play will be nice. No complaints, enjoyed the course. The par3 hole right by the lake is a nice touch, picturesque hole.
Nice place to visit
Friendly staff, great course layout, greens roll very true.
course is a work in progress with great potential
Course has been taken over in last few years with new owners. The greens are outstanding but fairways are not as nice. The owners are working hard to bring this course back to where it should be.
Great Bones
This course has great bones, and after talking to one of the new owners after play, expect it to return to what I hear was former glory. Good luck guys, thanks for saving it, you are working with some great bones. I look forward to playing again next year.
Getting better
The course is improving and should be good come summer
Good greens for winter
Ready for Adventure
I played this course on a windy day and I played from the blues which is the tips. When I got there the guy at the clubhouse was nice. I got started and quickly realized they don't have cart paths. Use the map because it is easy to get lost. The course is not long but I would say go from the whites. Most of the par 3s are lpng. The greens were in good shape. There was interesting holes.
