About
Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford is one of the most challenging courses in the area. The heathlands layout feels like a links course with wind being an important factor and thick fescue coming into play. The golf course starts with an especially tough front nine but there are more scoring opportunities on the back. Mounded bunkers and moguls define the movement of the fairways and though there aren't many trees, if you don't keep your shots straight you might find yourself out-of-bounds or lost in the high, wiry grass. Sidehill lies await you as well as a few blind shots. Wyncote's greens have little undulation but the lightning fast putting surfaces are a challenge for players of all skill levels. With a few "grip it and rip it" holes mixed in, Wyncote Golf Club is a tough but fair test.

The Perfect Round of Golf
This is one terrific golf course. The conditions were as good as they get. Great Tee Boxes, Fairways were plush and the greens were perfect. It was mild winds with sun and temperatures in the low 80's. This course is a beast when the wind blows as it is wide open. I highly recommend it to any serious golfer looking for a different layout in the northeast.

Overall great place to play...just a long drive for me.
My favorite public golf course
Wyncote is first class course that I have been playing for over 25 years now. It is difficult and vexing sometimes, but the course is definitely unique with its heathland style and now its new rerouting of holes 2 - 18. Of course, I wish the greens fees hadn't been raised so much in recent years, but that doesn't change the fact that Wyncote is my favorite.

Excellent early season round
I played in a twosome on a Wednesday morning in March. Overall excellent. We were out early and finished in 3:10. They have changed the routing to the original and I liked it and I believe it will help the pace of play (it does make 18 (formerly 9) a beast. The course (fairways, tee boxes) was in nice shape for so early in the year. They had punched the greens recently, but they were fine. I enjoy this layout; it manages to be both challenging for single digit handicaps and playable for 90’s shooters. I had lunch in the restaurant after and that was quite good as well. Recommended.
Top tier course
A must play golf course. The course is well maintained and the staff is excellent. I play this course every chance I get when I come into the area.
Windy at Wyncote
Scored a hot deal on Golf Now, played on a windy Sunday. Had a great day with the fellas! Greens were punched so putts were a little less than ideal.
Good for winter rates
They punch holes on greens in the winter here. The greens look bad but actually putting really nice, and price is right. Seems odd, but it's always the best maintained golf course in the Philadelphia area, so who am I to judge. Love this place. Good food as well.
Open
Not as in the US Open but an open links style that is a real challenge with very fast greens.it’s s joy to play with a tee box for everyone.

I've played Wyncote many, many times in the last 14yrs & it's always the best conditions in the area. The new restaurant is also a BIG plus.
Fantastic layout, Fantastic people
I played this golf course several times. The course conditions are always immaculate. The land is challenging, but fair. The golf course and shop personnel are informative and very friendly. Always a great experience.
Exceptional as usual
I played in a Superintendent Revenge type tournament, it was a blast. Not the usual gimmicky Revenge tournament, this one had us hitting shots from tees on one hole to greens on different holes. There were some really fun shots and a really well run, creative tournament. The food afterwards was phenomenal as well.
Where’s the ranger
Sloooow play for a Monday round. Group in front of us had the entire course open in front of them. Never even contemplating letting us play through. Multiple tee shots, standing around watching each other hit. Sending a ranger around a few times in the course of 5 hours would have solved this…
