Love this course!
Bryce and staff are fantastic! We moved to Warren County 3 years ago..Clear Creek was a major factor in choosing Warren county as our retirement residence..Sid
Greens Were in Surprisingly Good Shape
A couple of holes on the back nine had temporary greens that are pretty rough. But other than that, the greens were in really good shape. For $24 to walk, it was a steal.
It Is What It Is
Clear Creek is not without its virtues. Narrow fairways, a long setup (6200+ from the white tees), and turtle-back greens make it a worthy challenge.
On the other hand, maintenance has never really been prioritized. The course has lots of bare ground around its trees, which means lots of mud if you're playing less than a week after the most recent rainfall. The greens are burned out in spots. Rainfall leaves grass clippings running all along the fairway in channels, and even six months after autumn, there are still a ton of leaves all over the ground.
Having said all that, it's $24 to walk 18. That's a tough deal to beat. Just don't show up under any illusions about the quality of the venue.

Thank you for taking the time to review the course, and we're glad to hear you enjoyed fairways and greens! We're continuing to work on conditions, and hope you'll come play another round this season.
when we checked in the clerk charged us an extra $1 (for entry fee!!!????) Never, ever heard of that!! I questioned this charge to no avail.
Course was in good shape, greens were smoothe, but we got off to a bad start because the clerk charged us an extra $1 for entry fee (what the heck is that????) I did not complain to Management (too tired and hot after the round) but I will tell them to place that extra charge on website so others wont be surprise at the counter at check-in!!!

Thanks for coming out, CaptWillard! And a big thanks for taking the time to review the course. We hope to see you again this season!
