Back again....
Had not played El Rio for about 18 years and was pleasantly surprised with all the updates to the facility. Enjoyable day with 3 friends who had never played it.
Is a grat course. Preti nice green. I love it
Nice place. Nice green. And the workers very frendy.
Pace of play
Starter didn’t seem interested in coordinating the tee off. To many singles and doubles teed off without being grouping together. Slowing the pace of play.
Good Golf!
Like this course a lot. Staff is polite and accomodating
Great Staff
Tee’s and greens are in great condition, Staff was super nice and friendly. I’d like to thank Dan W. for going out of his way to return my putter cover that I forgot in the cart after our round.
Nice course. Play was slow. Group ahead was really slow.
Very slow with a lot of less than average skilled golfers. No food/ drink cart around much if at all. Course is average. But good if you go out of fairway a you can play from most anywhere
Nice course
El Rio is a straightforward golf course without a ton of trouble. However there are bunkers right at the front left and right of most holes. Those bunkers have steep fronts you have to hit over to get onto the green. With that said, the greens right now are absolutely perfect. Smooth and quick.
Decent Tucson City Course
Flat, pretty much wide open and minimal water. Nice green grass in first part of Feb 2025. Decent greens and sand, not fantastic, but pretty good for tuning up your game. Outdated facility with minimal practice facilities like the 4 other city courses.
El Rio
This is an old golf course in Tucson, but it was well maintained. The greens were a little hard but they were nice and fast.
Had a good time. Walking and playing with shorts in February.
To expensive
To expensive for what it has to offer. The staff is very nice but the cours is cheap. No indication on the cours, no bathroom, no water to drink, nothing to wash your ball. Nothing to indicate the distance and show the hole.
