Steele Canyon Golf Club in Jamul offers three unique nines: Canyon, Vineyard, and Ranch. Gary Player designed all 27 holes, which are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The courses are considered some of the best golf in southern California. The Canyon/Vineyard combination starts with dramatic elevation changes and then transitions into the subtler nuances of the Vineyard nine. The hilly front nine demands accuracy and golfers should be prepared for some uneven lies. The Vineyard nine doesn't get any easier either with several water hazards and many holes that play directly into the prevailing winds. The Vineyard's sixth hole is one of Steele Canyon's hardest. This lengthy par 5 measures 582 yards from the back tees and requires a forced carry over a dry creek bed on your third shot.

challenging track, which i knew. In overall good shape, even though greens were recently punched, they still rolled true and quick, go figure. The course will test your game so play the appropriate tees.

Great course but the price does not justify it. They constantly have been raising rates and now near the same prices as the top courses in the area. Why pay to play here when I can spend alittle more for Maderas or Torrey

Great course! Staff was friendly, Marshall Tim was awesome and was very respectful when we fell behind 9 min pace of play. Had bad experiences with other marshals. Thank you for the fun experience, will be golfing here again

Course Layout
Not sure why you felt the greens were in poor condition. Possibly ball marks that were not fixed as it was a busy weekend with multiple events. Also, a mini tour event the previous week, they loved the greens! Rolling at a 10.5-11 on the stimpmeter and running true now, Sorry if you caught an unlucky time.
