Washoe Golf Course

About
Founded in 1917, Washoe Golf Course is the oldest golfing facility in Reno. The layout has small greens and tree-lined fairways, but the fairways are wide and flat making them fairly forgiving. There are water hazards and bunkers strategically placed throughout. The mature landscape is carefully maintained with an elaborate sprinkler system that ensures that the course is green and ready for play all year round. Washoe Golf Course also has PGA Professionals on staff to help with individual or group instruction and extensive practice facilities that include a generous putting green, driving range, and a chipping area with practice bunker.

Reno Golf
Really like this course, in town decent food quick round played in under 4 and offers a senior discount.
Course in really good shape for March. Great bang for the buck-
Thank You
Thank You for another fun day of golf. Nice and friendly Pro Shop and Grill staff!
Always enjoy playing your course.
Nice outing
The course has some good personality to it, especially the back nine. However, a 210-yard par-3 is asking a lot
Washoe Golf Course
Love this place! Has everything you need for a great day of golf. Real family feel to this place! Stones throw from the Casinos.
Gravel cart paths with old gas powered carts from 1998 is not a good time. The smell of gas gave me a headache but the view of Reno was beautiful.
Ahhhhhhh
So good to have a break in the cold and windy weather to play golf. We had a great time and the course was not crowded so no wait. The only negative was not being able to drive on the fairways - Cart path only. But not a deal-breaker. The course had a lot of debris after ferocious winds so that is why I gave the condition an average rating, This is likely temporary.
birthday
My son and I played at washoe golf course on Sunday which was his birthday and we had a great time..would definitely do that again, weather permitting..
Average
I was somewhat disappointed with the course conditions. I've played there for many years and I've seen the course in much better shape. The green on number 11 was horrible. Also, the cart paths are in need of attention.
Lame course
Greens are in awful condition, not to mention they are the smallest greens in town, the bunkers are all hardpan, fairways are patchy course sucks overall
No water coolers or drink cart so stock up before you go out on the course. Also there’s no yardage stakes if you don’t have a range finder it’s all guesswork.
