Amazing Golf Experience
Bucket list experience & one of the finest experiences I’ve had in all my golf travels. The sight of the 2016 @pgachampionship and some historic @usopengolf performances, you can just feel the greatness as you walk your 18. The Lower Course was in a word: Epic.
Service, food, and course conditions stand out
The staff was on top of everything, as you’d expect. Course conditions were top notch, again as you’d expect. Views from the clubhouse patio were wonderful. You know you’re in golf nirvana when there. The clubhouse and locker room were excellent.
The course played well. Maintained great and the caddy I and my partner had was very helpful. The guy the other pair had was irritating after awhile. The driving range was smaller than I’d have expected. Additional short game practice areas are hidden away out among the course, which we didn’t get to use.
Greens rolled very consistently. That helped you sink some because they were all rolling the same. The course wasn’t as difficult as I expected. That surprised me a bit, but they’ve kept the old course relevant to today’s game.
If you can play this historical course go for it. It’ll make you wanna become a CEO or win the lottery. I could suffer my way thru a membership there.
Once in a lifetime
I had the chance to play this course after winning a tee time in a fundraising auction. Absolutely amazing with all the history this course has. From tee to green this place is perfect. Staff was as welcoming to me as they were to the members themselves.
