Stonebridge Golf Club

About
Stonebridge Golf Club is an Arthur Hills design that is one of southeast Michigan's best kept secrets. The championship layout incorporates the plentiful water and woods of the natural terrain. The white sand bunkers that are strategically placed throughout add a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the golf course. The undulating terrain is one of the layout's most prominent features. Elaborate hills and greenside swales protect many of the putting complexes. The putting surfaces on the front nine are relatively calm when compared to the back nine where most of the greens are double-tiered, ridged, or layered. The par-4 15th is one of Stonebridge Golf Club's most scenic and challenging holes. With water in front, back, and right of the green, this is one of the toughest approaches on the back nine.

Never Disappoints
This course is in excellent condition from tee box to green. The carts are new and in excellent condition as well. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The thing that leaves it short of being a 5 star course is the cart path. It is in awful condition through out the entire course.
Empty, but challenging course
We saw maybe 3 other groups on the course. Went mid-week at 3:00pm. Tee boxes were not full of divots, greens were not full of ball marks like other courses in the area. Was so nice to get a round done in 3 hours where we didn't wait a shot.
Not for beginners. Postage stamp greens with heavy slopes. You need to be very accurate with your irons and have a good short game. Not a fun layout for people who want to hit their driver, tons of doglegs that require you to hit your fairway woods/irons off the tee.
A Great Track
This course is excellent in every way. The layout is fun and interesting. The course conditions were excellent. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The carts are new and in excellent condition. The one hiccup was when we ordered hot dogs on the 8th hole for pickup at the turn. At the turn we waited 15 minutes for our order to be filled before we could return to the course.
Best Pubic Course
I play alot of courses all over Michigan, from private to public. This Arthur Hills track is by far the best public course in the area and rivals private course conditions. In fact, it consistently plays better than many private courses in the area. Stonebridge is in my rotation of tracks I play and it never disappoints. Pace of play is always well managed with their GPS carts and their 2-man scrambles are run like professional tournaments with live scoring. If you haven't played Stonebridge or, participated in one of their skins games, you should!
On vacation from Chicagoland area. Did some golf course research for the Ann Arbor and the golf now reviews for Stonebridge did not disappoint. Course was in great condition from tee to green. Friendly pro shop and cart attendant staff. Well worth the cost.
Stonebridge is a Great Golf Course
I thoroughly enjoy playing Stonebridge golf course. Without question, it is the best maintained public course in Washtenaw County. It's challenging but fair. The fairways are generously watered; the greens are quick and true; and the sand is new last year. It's a great golf course -- worth every penny.
Great Course; Great Staff
Stonebridge is an excellent golf course. It is always in perfect condition, and the staff is helpful, friendly, and responsive. The greens are undulating and fast, but roll very true. I have never had an experience at Stonebridge that wasn’t outstanding!
Best Tournament Execution!
Played in their two man scramble, first one of the year. From the minute I arrived, it was clear they know what they are doing! The course was in fantastic shape, the skins tournament ran smoothly and loved that the beer carts were rolling even on a day in the 40s. Can't wait to play again!
Amazing conditions for a public golf course!
Played in a 2-Man Skins Game on April 16. The course conditions were absolutely perfection from tee to green. The tournament was scored live using a screen in each cart that also gave GPS yardage. Was able to view the leaderboard for skins and team standings. Not only was the tournament extremely well run, but they host these tournaments every 2-3 weeks throughout the season. It is a public golf course and it plays like a country club. This course has definitely been added to a track I will play regularly.
Well-conditioned subdivision course
Stonebridge is a mid-1990s subdivision course on Ann Arbor’s west side that is below Travis Pointe but above Lake Forest in quality. It has upscale conditions but a pedestrian layout that is pretty pinched by houses. It had been 20 years since I’ve played it and I remembered very few holes. If you’re good with modern residential layouts this place works great and the bar staff took care of us, but I curry favor to the more natural layouts like Washtenaw or Leslie which aren’t so dominated by development
Retirement / Birthday Party
My brother had a golf outing for his retirement we had 50 players the staff and course was great. I’ll be back to play again for sure.
Best course in Ann Arbor
Course conditions were prestine as expected. The course superintendent obviously knows what he's doing. This is a very challenging course, but is enjoyable no matter what your handicap is. I would recommend anyone who is reading this to make a t time at Stonebridge the next time you're looking to play a course in the Ann Arbor area.
Best Course in Ann Arbor
Most fairways are fairly forgiving. Toughest set of Par 3's anywhere. Most green complexes are challenging. Very few flat/straight putts. Look at each chip or putt from the opposite side to see if there are any unexpected downhill slopes. Greens are in great shape and roll pretty fast for a public course.
Nice course
Very nice course. GPS carts are a bonus. everything was in great shape. Will definitely play again
Great Public Course
The course conditions were excellent. Greens were smooth and fast, rough was long and thick, fairways were excellent. Generous landing areas for drives, then challenge comes around the greens.
Great Layout and Bargain
Had a chance to play Stonebridge recently and really enjoyed the layout and conditioning. Just a fun course from 1 through 18, wish it was in my town as I'd play it regularly. Very friendly staff - great overall experience.
Drivers Course!! 2nd shots make your round.
Drivers paradise!! Wide fairways make it great off the tee, 2nd shots very critical to score. Miss the green, tough up and down on many holes.
Great track!!
Nice experience
I like the wide open fairways. Room for error off the tee boxes. Hazards do sneak up on you so be mindful of that. Played Senior tees because of damp weather tends to reduce yardage. Plays long from whites for us old guys. Only complaint as a single playing alone I was able to play through one group but at the turn a twosome came out of nowhere and literally stole the tee box from me. They skipped holes and "stated " if we slow you down will let play through. That never happened even though I waited on several occasions as they did ball searches and water retrievals. Much to my dismay the starter allowed them to take the tee box on number ten. All I can say is Protocol Mr. Starter.
Keeps getting better
This course is by far the best course in the area. The course conditions are stellar. The new superintendent, management and their crews are all working collectively well and the amenities and the course conditions are proving it.
Great course in a nice area.
Small, fast, rolling greens and plenty of trouble. The course is built through a high-end community and the course is a reflection. Very well taken care off. Course knowledge can save a lot of headache as there's a few tricky holes. I wouldn't call them gimmicky, just helps a lot if you know the best place to miss, and when not to be aggressive. Your irons better be on at this course. 8.5/10
