Franklin Bridge Golf Club

About
Franklin Bridge Golf Club (formerly known as The Crossing GC) runs alongside the Harpeth River, which borders 15 of the course's 18 holes. Opened in 1970, the course has a classic layout that will appeal to a wide range of skill levels. Some of the holes definitely present a formidable test, the 16th and 18th for example, which have been hailed by local media as two of the best and most challenging holes in the state, but it is the par-4 ninth with its island green that is the course's signature hole. Although the layout offers a fair challenge, there is also some room for error that makes it more approachable for beginners. In addition to the course, Franklin Bridge Golf Club boasts an 8-acre driving range as well as chipping and putting greens equipped with a practice sand bunker.

Best Public Course in Franklin Area
There are several courses in Franklin but too few that are open to the public. Franklin Bridge is a top-tier public course. The practice facilities, bar and Grill, pro shop, and staff are some of the best in Tennessee. The restaurant has great options, and the course is in immaculate shape. The fairways are well taken care of and the course is a ton of fun to play. The greens are in great shape and the GPS in the golf carts are awesome.
Gordo, one of the pro shop staff, was very helpful and helped us navigate what to what expect since it was our first time playing here. Don’t miss out playing this course due to a few people trying to leave a negative review. Experience this great course for yourself and enjoy the amenities!
Worst greens in Middle TN. All metro courses have significantly better green condition for half the money. It’s always like this. Never better. Should be ashamed. It’s only about the profit for this course.
Course was pretty disappointing
They overbook this course by a lot. Teed off at 3:51, playing ready golf we barely got to 15 holes with only 3 people !! The layout is overall pretty boring besides maybe a couple holes where you hit your approach over the harpeth. Course was in solid condition besides the bunkers which definitely need renovation as they looked pretty washed out. Practice green was in horrible condition and was super small. I expected a lot more from a course in Franklin, Tennessee under new owners and a lot advertisement leading up to its reopening.
First time. Impressed
Love the layout. Going through a lot of renovations and it’s looking great. Clearly working very hard on improving it
Grass clippings
I’ve been to this course 3 times in the past 6 months. It could be a great course but each time I’ve played it there were course maintenance issues. Today there were grass clippings left scatted here and there to some extent on most greens. Had to clear a path to putt on numerous greens. Mentioned it to the guys in the club but didn’t seem that interested. To be fair a lot of needed course maintenance and upgrades are in process, but that’s no reason to leave mower droppings all over the greens. Also pace of play was slow the entire round. Saw the ranger riding around but didn’t see him talk to anyone. I don’t think I will be back for a while until construction is done and indications maintenance is better.
Getting better and better
The course keeps improving every time I play. There is still some work to do especially on tee boxes but the greens are nice and fairways are night and day compared to what they used to be. Staff is super friendly. Lunch and a small bucket of balls are included which is awesome. Can’t wait to see the new par 3.
Always a Fun Course
A little pricier this time around, but it's always been a fun course both times played. Would recommend!
Challenging but fun course
Haven’t played here in 20 years. The pace of play was very good and course layout very fun and challenging. The work in progress is going to make this a premiere course to play in the area.
Played here many times so I’ll only say that when you play a course enough you will have the best day and the not so best day. A cpl of holes under construction…. Sprinklers going off on you for 3 holes… Rude ground personnel blowing cut grass next to, and at you, and (adorable) juniors of a dozen or more playing the par 5 at the turn, which the starter never told us about . Other than that it was a good day. Will we play here again? Of course, but it will be a while until the course is ready
Totally not nice
Staff very blunt and unfriendly—- no one explained to us that there was a lot of construction on the course —-bulldozers were off and on the course and piles of dirt everywhere—- sprinkler systems kept going even while we were playing through them— and the people working the yards never even considered we were playing and at one particular hole they actually blew the leaves and Debris across our cart!!
Not too happy …
Under construction
This is normally a good course. They are making serious changes to 7-9. It’s a hot mess. Very Sandy greens.this would all be fine, but they Did not have any alerts to this on their site or golf now and no discount was offered. I’d wait until the late fall to go back to this one!
Big improvements going on
But not all for the better a 14k putting green nobody was on the 5k green still #8 and 9 still tore up and changing #9 to a par 3 very lame at least make it a long par 3 and still need a bathroom on the back nine though I like the course I recommend it to friends but could b better
