North at Admiral Baker Golf Course

I don't even know where to start so we'll start with the Pro Shop and the jack off that works behind the desk. I've been in sales for 35 years, manager of an auto dealership if this guy works for me I'd fire him on the spot. Terrible attitude didn't appreciate it whatsoever not to mention getting charged 12 more dollars for my round of 18 holes then the rest of my group who aren't military. Course conditions were terrible I haven't played here in 20 years, let's just say I won't be back was an absolutely awful experience worst I've ever had in San Diego.

The course itself was in good condition but boring as all get out.
The holes play the same distance 80% of your shots. I hit it about 240 yet I had the same club into almost every hole all day. 3 pars were almost all the same club. Design is super boring because of how they cut the fairways.

Walked with Jeff, Brian and Steve twilight in 4H, 45M. POP was actually better than it sounded, we waited some but for the most part it was just busy, groups stacked up 1/2 a hole apart AD. $43 to walk mid day. Overcast with a little breeze in the 60's made for very pleasant golfing conditions.

Fun, no frills, old school golf course with ample fairways and no tricked up greens. Mostly flat with no severe elevation changes.

Tees good coverage. Decent with only a few areas needing divot attention.

Fairways had a few bare spots but were generally good.

Same for the rough, which was higher than the fairway but most places were not overly penal.

Sand Traps had fine, nice sand. Decently maintained for a busy public course.

Greens still recovering from aeration last month but generally rolled okay. Medium fast and they held more shots than not.

Quick efficient check in. Restaurant onsite had an excellent "Golfers special"... Burger, fries + drink for $9 that I would highly recommend. Only had played here once previously about 7 years ago, like the layout, fun to play. Recommended.

Course was fine but pro shop workers have terrible attitude and incredibly lazy, really need revamp the pro shop staff

It would be great if the course would hire some marshals to insure that pace of play is reasonable.
Even at this time of year, someone that starts at 1:00pm should be able to finish the round. The constant notices to turn in the golf cart before dark are ridiculous.

We recently played this course and from the moment we checked in the staff member helping us was rude and not very helpful. He discouraged us from booking on the Golf Now app. Once we finished our round we ran into the same staff member. We were late getting our carts back as we ran out of daylight and only got to play 9 holes (even though we payed the full $60). The staff including the initial person who helped us was extremely rude to us when we got back to the clubhouse. “It’s a privilege to play here” he kept saying. We asked to speak to the manager only to find out he was the manager! Overweight, white guy. Didn’t get his name but he’s the only reason we probably won’t be going back. ✌️

They have a sign up at the course which says the greens will be punched on Nov 2 and 3 but the greens were already punched looks like 10 -14 days ago

we altrnate north, south every other week. totally different layouts which make it fun and challenging for my group. we're not the best but not worst players so Admiral baker makes it fun but also frustrating. we feel comfortable with the staff an usually have dinner afterwards. great value through out. been playing there for years an never had a bad day except for my own poor play. lol

Best conditions I've seen. And best bang for buck right now. ✅

I played this course two months ago but I couldn’t get a tee time from Golf now or Tee Off since then…. I hope they could provide more tee times for the Local residents.

A family get together and outing. Fun. All the staff were very friendly. I was hoping the course would be in better shape after the long Covid break, but it was fine. One of my favorite courses.

Greens are a little bumpy, but overall course and layout is very good.
