Deer Creek RV Golf & Country Club

About
Located just 20 minutes from the Disney theme Parks. Deer Creek RV Golf & Country Club has a convenient location at the intersection of I-4 and US Hwy 27. Walkers and beginners will enjoy the player-friendly traditional design, which features short distances to the green. The layout consists of par 3s and par 4s only. Deer Park's front nine is a bit gentler than the back nine where you'll find plenty of sand coming into play as well as many trees. The golf course also has a few tight spots where you'll have to employ accuracy and good course management. You'll get a chance to work on your short irons on this course. Golfers wanting a formidable test should look elsewhere but there are enough challenges at Deer Park to keep the round interesting.

Reviews
Ok but not great
Very slow busy….ok layout but not for serious golf!
Always a fun course! Tiki bar was a fun place for a few drinks after our round!
Good executive course at a great price
It’s a nice course to work on your short game. Staff were friendly and helpful. The course was in pretty good condition. The biggest complaint would be the greens which seemed long and maybe needed to be rolled. Green fees/cart were very inexpensive. I’ll be back.
Even if it's Executive course, not recommended
1. No fun at all.
2. No value even though paying $25-30.
Lovely course
Easy to play for beginners. Wide fairways, fast greens without too much water.
Challenging but a lot of fun.
Very different this time of year
When we first moved to Florida 4 years ago I used to play the front 9 early in the morning walking and could finish is about an hour, come home. shower and go to work. The greens at that time were in pretty poor shape, but, I was paying $10 for 9 holes so it was a good deal.
Golf now showed one available tee spot for every tee time between 1 and 2. So I drove down without a reservation and asked to play. I was told they had no tee times until 3. I stepped to the back of the pro shop, checked Golf Now on my phone, and 1:22 had a spot for a single, so I booked it. I went back up to the counter and told the clerk that I had the 1:22 Tee time. She then spoke to someone in the back saying: GolfNow sold one of those tee times I blocked. But she took my money and sent me out.
I joined a semi-retired couple down from upstate New York as a third (so there were two spots available). They were a lot of fun and we enjoyed the next 3:30.
The course was pretty packed on a Thursday afternoon with sunshine and temps in the upper 70s (just what the chamber of commerce sells this time of year). At the very end of when I used to play at Deer Creek they began to put in new greens. The new greens are very nice, but...even during tourist gigging season I think $45 for an executive course is steep. I can think of three in a 20 mile radius that would have been at least $10 less.
It's been a while since I played some of them, but Polo Park (East or West) are also in Davenport. I often play the Hampton's when they have good rates, or Lake Bess.
If you've got tee spots available I think they should be for sale, that is, after all, what the course is there for. It will be quite a while before I go back. The course is nice, but the attitude of the help (probably focused on non-resident walk ins) is not something you have to put up with.
