Naperbrook Golf Course

I love the course but the check in guy, Don J is very rude. He ruins the entire experience for me because I am younger and he uses a very condescending tone and talks down to me every time for no reason. I will not be playing here anymore solely because of him.

It’s a decent course that isn’t too challenging. Greens rolled true and well which was nice but the main problem I had was booking for $32 online and then when I get to clubhouse to pay for the round they tel me it’s $52 because the cart is an extra $20 instead of them just adding that to the online booking part. Sketchy but whatever. Slow pace of play. Wouldn’t recommend.

A nice course. The grounds were in good condition despite the "drought" we have been experiencing.

I used the Golf Now Compete app. 2 of the holes when I check for distance off the tee, showed the "green" off the coast of Africa, some 10M yards away.

A the kid sister to Springbrook. I enjoy this course as it it is fun to play but not overly difficult. I enjoy meeting the random people I meet here.
This used to be an easy tee time to get, but it is getting harder these days. Course is always in good shape.

Enjoyable course design, conditions tee-to-green are very good. Staff, carts and amenities very good. That said: Areas of Concern.
1) Play is often slow and the etiquette is shallow. No rangers checking pace of play. Slower groups typically do not let a faster group or twosome play through.
2) By August the greens are carpet bombed with unrepaired ball marks.
3) Pin placements: On 1/3rd to 1/2 of greens on most days the pins are set in locations you'd see on a Sunday PGA event. Buried in corners, tucked in just over a sand trap. The superintendent is trying to protect the middle 75% of the greens from ball marks, and doing a good job of it. The problem, however, is most players can't shape shots or spin the ball close to the tucked away pin placements. This pin placement issue is the same at Springbrook.
All things considered Naperbrook can be an enjoyable round of golf, but be prepared for slow play, pock-marked greens and have your wedges dialed in tight to get anywhere near the pin placements.

I’ve been playing this course for years and always enjoy it. Although easy off the tee, the course has its challenges. It’s akso easy to find a good deal out there.

The course was in good shape for November. Greens were still healing from an aeration...necessary evil of fall golf. Course layout was somewhat generic. Not overly difficult. Would be a good place for beginners and high handicappers to play. No complaints, overall. Pretty average park district course.

For the time of the year the course was in great shape. Even the irradiated greens played fast. Most of the holes play to my flaws (slice) which made it more enjoyable. Not a difficult course but it can play long. For my round it was a great value at a really good golf course.

***The pace of play was great, but there were only 9 people on the course due to the weather so the four stars are deceiving. Friendly staff and amenities were also nice.

It was a bit windy so several holes were a challenge to hit the green in regulation. Two of the par fives were playing over 560 and into the wind so they were beasts. One of the par 4's was 425 or so and was tough into the wind was well. My wife is a 7 and she found the same holes very difficult from her tees as well. Greens were in good condition. They had grounds worker actually repairing the ball marks on the greens. He said he would end up doing it twice but as usual with most courses the golfers don't repair their marks but at least the course tried. Still the greens were good but tough to read. The fairways were great and we loved the layout.

I came as a single and got paired up with two great local guys. They shared their knowledge of the course and helped make it a fun day.

Played a round at Naperbrook.. Course is not really difficult. Pace of play was good as we finished in about 4 hours. Greens can be a bit tricky,

Naperbrook Golf Course is a great local gem run by the Naperville Park District. The course is well maintained. There is a driving range and putting green available for practice. Watch Golf Now for the "Hot Deals" available for this course.

Looked like the pins hadn't been moved in a week. Apparently the course doesn't repair ball marks either. The course is well designed and lush but the grass was rather long not allowing much roll in the fairways. Course was packed with an outing and they ran out of carts so you had to wait until your tee time to receive a cart coming off 18. Starter was overly concerned with a receipt despite the fact that we had an electronic confirmation of full payment and a set of rental clubs in our possession.

Having played other courses in the area I decided to play NaperBrooke for the first time. Boy,was I glad I did. Perfect layout,condition,and price.(senior) Staff were very friendly and professional. Already have future T-times set.

Great course. Will play again. The only set back this round was the slow play.
