Excellent course!
Gray is a must if you visit the casinos and play golf. Always in better shape then Contraband Bayou course at L’Auberge. The Nugget is by far the best maintained course but a little pricey. Gray is a great value!!!
Always Nice
2nd time to play here. A really nice track with some great holes. Look forward to coming back next time we’re in Lake Charles visiting the casinos.
Great course, great challenge
Challenging course particularly as it was quite wet. Course is very long with lots of water in the way. The golf course is really well maintained with lots of variety. I would definitely like to play the course again when I visit the area next
Great course, snobby members!
The course was beautiful but local members jumped in on the second nine told us they golf whenever they want Because their members. Also the 18-year-old behind us kept hitting into us even though we were waiting for the people in front of us! At one point he drove up and hit his ball the same time I hit mine! This course really needs to regulate their snobby members ! We drove along ways to golf here and we’re only able to golf four holes on the back nine before it got dark because the people that jumped in front of us on the back nine wouldn’t let us play through. We finally just passed them up and skipped two holes in front of them were no one else was golfing! The front nine went perfect and we really enjoyed it! Just couldn’t believe what happened on the back nine, never seen anything like it!
Golden Nugget not at the Nugget
I was traveling to the Golden Nugget for a weekend getaway. I originally looked to play the casino courses but felt like the prices seemed a bit steep. I’m glad I played the Gray Plantation GC. My group left the booking to me and since I tend to do my research wanting the best possible conditions for a fair price, l looked no further. From tee to green everything was GREAT. Greens a bit sticky but rolling true. Par 3s really made you trust your swing-lol. This is a MUST play if in Lake Charles, I’ll be back!!!!
Wonderful facility
Staff is friendly and very helpful. Course is always immaculate even in rough weather conditions. Range is great. Wonderful experience overall
Awesome Course
Course was in excellent shape! Greens were fast and a bit hard to read. Windy days will make this course longer than expected. Watch for water hazards and know when to lay up!
Great Finish
This was my last day of a 3 day golf trip and it was a perfect finish. Gray Plantation is a superb golf course and well maintained. The pro shop was staffed by Pam who was an excellent host and got our round off to a perfect start. The course was in great shape and we had a great day.

Course was in great shape but the greens were a little sandy.
Good course to play
Good condition, tricky green, wide fairways, good and enjoyable course, little pricey for seniors $50 in areas.
Cart path only
Course had seen rain over past few days, fairways were soft, greens were slow, still played in slightly over 3 hours.
Great value for the money.
