About
The East Course is one of two four-star rated championship courses at Jacaranda Golf Club. Both golf courses have a tropical landscape covered with ponds, canals, colorful landscaping, and of course plenty of swaying palms. The East Course is the longer of the two courses. It has served as host for several PGA and USGA tournaments and qualifying events. The layout features tree-lined, undulating fairways and raised, sloped greens. It offers a challenge at almost every turn with 80 bunkers strategically placed throughout and water hazards on 15 holes. Some of the bunkers are built into the mounding complexes, giving them sod faces and high lips that are difficult to navigate. Those that manage them successfully though will be rewarded with excellent scoring opportunities. The popularity of the two golf courses has affirmed Jacaranda as one of the best places to play in southeast Florida.

Nickel and dimed
I have played this course before for around 140. I was it good shape and I liked. Not this time around.
Played west and east last weekend. First of all $240 is absurd for this course but it was a holiday weekend and we were booking for 8 and they were pretty open so we booked. We were immediately charged for range balls. Not included for this price? That’s weak. Then they had the audacity to charge a 3% fee for using a credit card? Give me a break. The clincher was that nearly every fringe was recent replace d with what appears to be dying sod. No warning. No message on the site. No heads up in the pro shop. No discount.
I would not play here again without some kind of mage due. Too bad. Used to really enjoy the course.
Pricey
Jacaranda is a decent layout, but it is in average shape and overpriced. I played on a Monday afternoon in the very hot south Florida heat with tee time wide open and was charged $125. Seems like it should be 75ish or less to play especially in June in south Florida. Not to be so negative because it’s not a bad course just pricey .
Disappointing
The course layout is fair for all levels. Realize it is January and grasses are dormant, but the course was in poor condition. Brown patchy greens, bunkers not maintained and not a rake in site, tee boxes are chewed up. Started with $8 for 25 range balls and half interested staff. For $179 fee we expect much more. Deer Creek (superior conditions), Eagle Trace, even Colony West are better value and experience.
Worst shape ever
I don’t know how they have kept their maintenance staff. The greens were bad municipal level. For $90

Disappointing
Me and my friends have played this course last year and I don’t remember it being as in bad shape as it is when the course is in nice shape I fell it’ worth $100 a round but $149. a round is Absurd...there are many other places that you can play that are less money and in better shape . I have played the west course and that seemed In better shape but still feel the price is just to much

I showed up as a single and was paired with 2 local guys. I really enjoyed the day, Mike and Jeff were a blast to play with. The course is challenging and the greens putt 100% better than they look. I wish l could have rated it 4.6. Great tuna wrap at the 19th hole. If the greens were slick this course would be treacherous. A steal at under $100.

Bad greens
The greens were filled with sand....grass around them for the most part was pretty bad....if you play a course play the West ...much better for the price

Good turf and layout
Very good turf and layout for S. Florida public course. Excellent when a discount price is availsble. One of my top choices in Greater Ft. Lauderdale. Greens play well but grass is much too thin on the greens, with lots of soil showing.

BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE
As my group is from out of state, we did pay a premium to play here. First, the entire staff that we dealt with was pleasant and helpful. They couldn't have been nicer and this reflects on the entire operation as being customer oriented. Although the greens were a little sparse in areas, the putts rolled true. The other conditions were terrific and the layout is quite nice. We typically play a mix of courses when we visit SOFLA and we will come back to this one next year. It's really a great deal for residents and it's still a good value for those who travel from other states.

One of the best courses in South Florida
Pace of play was great. Greens were fast, fairways and tee boxes were in great condition. Will be playing again. Very Long Course!!! With the winds on Tuesday, made it even longer. Very challenging!!!

From check in to completion the staff were so polite and helpful. The warm up/practice area is very well marked with distances. Turf on practice area. The golf course is in such great condition. Fairways green and lush and well maintained. We are not rushed at all. Everyone was so polite.

What Happened?
I played here in early March & am just getting around to writing a review. I played here 2 years prior & thought it was beautiful for a public course. I have no idea what happened to this place. The course was in awful shape & the greens were embarrissing. If you look at the positive reviews they are from an earlier time. The recent reviews are will tell you the story & they are not favorable. We came down to florida for 10 days, played 8 different courses & this dogtrack was by far the worse. Although this course was by far the most expensive course we played. This review has nothing to do with pricing. All things being equal, this was hands down in the worst shape. I normally don't write reviews. Particularly negative ones. I don't like to hurt anyone's business. But, if they are going to charge premium prices for an inferior product. I feel obligated to try to save my fellow golfers some money. If you are thinking of paying up for a better experience. Don't! You will be severely disappointed!
We are so sorry to hear that as a returning customer you did not find the course to be in good shape. We are currently undergoing a two year renovation project where we are resurfacing the greens and reconstructing the bunkers. The East Course will be done this summer and next summer the West. We hope you'll give us an opportunity to exceed your expectations again in the future.

Fun course but pro shop and starter unfriendly
This was a fun and challenging course. The greens were challenging as they were pretty hard and the dirt showed through the grass. The starter and pro shop staff not super friendly. Seemed like Old boys club mentality. Fairways and tee boxes were in great shape. Cart was technologically advanced which was pretty cool!

Better than average
