Hole #8 Grip it and Rip it Photo submitted by Steve8810369 on 08/19/2019
Too expensive!
The greens are very fast but that is because they are all dead! The price doesn’t match the conditions of the course!
Cypress
Played here twice while snowboarding our way to Key West. 1st time paired up with a local so he knew the course and that helped me immensely. Even saw a live gator on #18, which I proceeded to birdie. Loved the course so much I came back a second time. Went off alone early in the morning and enjoyed the beauty and quietness. I would highly recommend this course to anyone no matter what the pe of game you play. Very enjoyable
Pace of place was excellent
Played in four hours. Course was in better shape than one month ago. Make sure you take the morning hot deal. Afternoon times are slower play
Cypress Knolls
Course is ok not great but quite expensive compared to the value it offers . Most courses in this area are much better shape and about the same price
Fun challenge!
This course is better than anything I’ve played in Palm Coast.
Friendly and helpful staff, brand new premium golf carts(but no GPS), decent practice area and range. Medium bucket was $6. I started ahead of time and played with three gentlemen who frequently play the course, which was great.
The course starts out with a few tight holes, and smallish greens that were in great shape. FAST and tricky! The greens are the main defense of this course in my opinion.
Very little water in play on the front nine. Placement of shots is paramount on many of the early holes, as the fairways are sloped and OB lines fairways on both sides. I felt like the front nine was the most challenging.
The back nine has more water, holes that require placement tee shots and overall was more interesting in my opinion. The greens can really eat you alive on the back nine if out of position. It’s almost better to leave it a tad short so you can see what to expect when you get up there(it was my first time here)
I am a Florida local. This course is about a 45 minute drive for me. We have many nice courses in the area, and now I can add this one to the rotation. Would recommend giving it a go if in the area.
Challenging course!
Very nice mid range course, with plenty of challenges. There were plenty of sand traps, but the sand was hard, and the fairways were tight, the grass was a little thin.
Great course layout, fairly challenging without too much trouble! Staff was great, especially Becky at the desk and Kim the starter! Definitely would play again!!
Good Course needs water
Always enjoy CKGC a mix of short and long challenging holes and the homes do not intrude on the experience or come into play. Lots of wildlife and course conditions are pretty good but the lack of rain has made the greens hard and very fast, bumpy fast. A little irrigation and smoothing out the tractor ruts in the few wet low rough areas and this course would be the best bang for your buck on the beach.
Some of the greens were sketchy. Very fast greens .
Not so happy
Two groups stop to eat , then there was a three group wait to tee off on ten. was not handle well by staff. Second thought on going back there to play. Bar closes early.
