Another PSP Gem
My preference is the South Course, played north course today. Compared to the last time we played the north(probably 5 years), was a very positive experience. Clearly, the Tribe has been spending money.
Ok,for golf experts, probably not as hard as other tracks but was in excellent condition and interesting to view the surrounding neighborhood..
wide open fairways, good turf. Excellent value.
Better Than Some of the Reviews
Played this course early morning on a perfect day. Three of us went around in 2:45, making this my fastest round ever. Tees and Greens were perfect, and despite previous reviews, the traps (in which I visited a few) were in great shape but for one with a few blades of grass.
The staff is the best I've encountered in almost 50 years. I'll be back next year for more.
Slowest round in years
We typically like driving out to the desert to play golf in the summer because we can usually motor through the round in about 3 hours. Unfortunately, it took us almost 5 hours in 112 degree heat! Having 4 groups on one hole seem to be the norm. I realize they probably are short staffed in the summer and don’t have a Marshall, but 5 hours on a course like Indian Canyon in the middle of summer is unacceptable.
It really is too bad because the course was in good shape, fun layout, and friendly staff.
Great Time Golfing
Played this course for the 2nd time in 3 years. Great hospitality! Course was in great shape. Was somewhat difficult for a 79 year old. Needed 3 strokes to reach most greens. Greens were excellent. Ball rolled very true. Fairways were in excellent shape. It was a lot of fun hitting Woods, Hybrids and Irons off of grass for a change.
Yikes
Wasn’t sure if I was on a golf course or someone’s backyard that has been out of town for 10 months. I mean sure it’s the end of the “season” but for Christ sake. Tee boxes and greens were decent but that it’s. Never seen grass growing inside bunkers before
Indian Canyons
When you step up to the first tee and see the homes lining the left side of the hole, you can’t help but think about the celebrities being here and playing in the 60’s and 70’s. The course plays fast but be aware the the rough can be punitive.
The course is doing a lot of maintenance but it does not come into play. The sand traps though need work; (read sand) as they are too punishing to your score hitting off packed/compressed dirt or felt.
I will play the course again and my guest wants to also play it too.
conditions
I wish the tribe would spend some money on this wonderful Billy Bell course....the condidtions were terrible....sadly!
fun in the sun
We arrived a little early but easily teed off prior to our designated tee time. If you stay in the fairway your experience will be enjoyable. The rough is challenging but not a killer. They are letting the fairway traps to grow over. It would appear that their long-term goal is to turn the sand traps into grass bunkers. Easier to mow then to rake. The greens are in good shape and will accept and hold a well struck ball.
Last thing, bring your own yardage device. The carts do not have one.
Disappointed
Well we were here 3-4 years ago we loved the north course but this time it was disappointing. It's really gone down hill on overall maintenance and shape of the course. Not sure what's going on but I bet the folks who live around it and are members are even more disappointed! Nope won't be back and especially not for that price.
Great golf course
The course was great, staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back and would recommend it to a friend 100%.
Dissappointed
Heard a lot about the course. Course was in rough shape. Greens dry and burnt in places. Fairway bunkers over grown and starter said to take a lateral drop. Fairway had patches of brown spots. Generally wide fairways. Even though the course wasn't pristine, I enjoyed the round. Paired up with two guys from Seattle area. They were friendly and enjoyed their comnpany.
Nice Course / Exceptional Staff
We enjoyed a nice round of golf but we’re impressed with exceptional staff friendliness
Thdd we greens were excellent and course was in good shape. Most bunkers appear to be abandoned in fairways
