Hawk's Landing Golf Club

About
The 18-hole Hawk's Landing Golf Club in Orlando, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1986. Designed by Joe Lee, Hawk's Landing Golf Club was later remodeled by Robert E. Cupp III.
At just over 6600 yards and carrying a slope rating of 134, the Hawk's new layout differs markedly from its predecessor designed by Joe Lee. Water is in play on 15 of its 18 holes and the entire back nine. Consistently recognized for its great greens, Hawk's Landing is conveniently located at exit 67 off Interstate 4. Winding around three sides of Florida's largest resort and convention center, this course offers an exciting 18-hole challenge and a great golf experience.

great views of the resort. Photo submitted by Scott4497478 on 09/21/2012
for all levels
Beautiful layout. Lots of water to work around. A challenge for any player. The island green on the last hole is a plus for all to try.
Although more expensive treat yourself to the perfect mix of challenging holes, outdoor beauty and a relaxed and professional atmosphere
Amazing
First time I played here was today and let me just say it was amazing and beautiful with no rush from the t box behind or no hold up from the t box in front. I will forsure play here again when I come back. And the staff was nice it was a little on the expensive side compared to other courses around the area but over all a amazing course and let's just say it's extremely managed and taken care of.
Great Condition
The course overall was in Great Condition! Greens rolled true, played longer due to the wind and water in the course. Only complaint is the price for a junior, $100? I Would definitely recommend
Great course
Course was in great shape and staff were all very good. Have seen complaints about carts stopping when you went over 10 MPH but that was only when you were in areas around places in resort that were near cross walks for people staying at resort. Did not happen anywhere else on course
Great condition
The course was in amazing condition. Greens were immaculate.
Vacation golf
I loved this course so much, but my husband complained about too much water and sand. Maybe it's not set up for lefties! Fairways and greens were the best we played on this trip by far which was reflected in the price! We splurged on playing here because we liked it so much from last golfing trip and I would come back again and hope for a hot deal on GolfNow! Only complaint for me was their carts will shut off if you go over 10 miles per hour even on the cart paths...kind of annoying that was.
Could be much better
Outdoor staff was great, indoor staff alone on busy morning also answering the phone. No restaurant just small snack shop that wasn’t open before tee off, had very limited choices at higher than normal pricing ($20 for.a breakfast sandwich and bottle of water). Course was less than average for area with high road noise, poor tee boxes, weird Par 70 layout and tees than overlap and could be dangerous if some hits an errand shot. Also price / value is out of line and should be max $120 including fees. Less than average experience
Inflated course length
The course is about 20% shorter than stated on the score card. Inflated course yardage and inflated green fees.
Had to go back
Great course in great condition. Very friendly staff. This was a morning tee time - you can play for quite a bit less after 12:00. But worth the price either way. Challenging but not crushing. Some really interesting par4s. Back 9 is a little easier with an extra par3 and only one 5. Greens are very playable once you get used to the speed. Nice warm up / practice areas.
Very slow pace.. 5+ hour round…. Course Marshall made several appearances but no success to shed pace of play. Great greens and very good overall conditions/layout. No staff to be found at end of round to help with bags/carts….. guess the round was too long for them too!?
Hawks Landing, Orlando
Golf course layout is fun and test of knowing one' distance with some blind water shots! Love the track and recommend having patience as the back nine play slowed down. The driving range was tight and a little let down only allowing irons to warm up. Would have been nice to hit a driver or wood before beginning play but understand only so much room.
Suggest adding frig in pro shop for after a round when snack shack is closed so visitors can purchase gatorade or cold water to rehydrate.
Will play again and recommend to visitors as staff is accommodating!
Exceptional condition, target practice layout
I've played nearly 50 resort quality courses and this is top 5 condition. Lush green grass with outstanding rough for this time of year. Greens were fast and smooth with a decent amount of break but fair. Great fluffy tour quality sand. Tee box grass and fairway grass needed to be cut shorter.
Course layout was interesting, felt like an executive course. Played the tips at only 6200 yards and had to walk back 30 yards every hole from where the carts were. Only a par 70, good amount of water and enough well placed bunkers to make it challenging. Carts often had to be parked before the tee boxes because the back 3 sets of tees were behind the cart path. No place to get around other carts if you're playing different tees. Did not use driver on most of the course, target practice layout. Island green on 18, some short par 4s and a long par 3. Course is near I-4 and busy roads with traffic, but there is mature vegetation blocking the view of cars.
Front 9 was 1:50, back 9 was 2:30. Course did not provide range balls before the round. Range was mats only and irons only. Hot dog at the turn was $13 + 18% automatic gratuity + tax. Drink cart came on hole 16. Two 10 oz water bottles in cart with towels (no ball cleaners on course). Had to press a button to get someone to come out to bag drop. Carts had good GPS but the distance from tee was bugged.
