Punched greens. No discount
They punched the greens the precious week. Should've been a discount, right? Also, we were a twosome and the group in front of us wouldn't let us play through. They don't HAVE to, but it's common courtesy
The sand was like hitting off of dirt. And several of the greens were being worked on. I wouldn't have played here had I known this.
Golf now should have notified me of the greens. Normally this course is in better shape.
Beautiful Course
The groundskeepers do a phenomenal job!!!! I enjoyed the co stools of the fairways, the greens and the views of the lakes are awesome!!!
Stop Overbooking the Course
Lakewood CC overbooks the course which leads to 3 hour 9 holes or 6+ hour 18’s. Stop overbooking the course and frustrating everyone on the course. Multiple holes have 3-4 groups backed up on them.
Only reason the overall review isn’t 1 star is because the conditions were actually decent.
Friendly starter
The lady works at the pro shop is very friendly, course drainage condition is pretty good after previous two days of rain. Playing pace seems OK, but traffic jammed mostly in those par 3 holes.
Give it a four stars rating for the course condition which is good to me.
Good deal
Course conditions aren’t spectacular but the price was good. Greens were decent at best.
Even early morning Mondays are slow
7:45 tee time. I show up 30 minutes early to hit a small bucket, told I’m second up on the tee. Around noon I wouldn’t complain, but I find out they are rushing people because the staff is trying to squeeze in their homies a round. So I didn’t get to warm up, the round takes 5 hours because they over booked (on a Monday morning) the fairways have occasional dead grass with mud. Greens are the bumpiest in the area. My only real compliment is that compared to other courses nearby, the bunkers are consistent and well maintained. Overall, the course is boring, conditions are not fun, and unless you are friends with the staff you’re not treated well. Avoid.
No friggin sand int the greenside bunkers
Typical Billy Bell layout. Small greens and deep no sand in them, greenside bunkers. I like the course but that is a big issue. Unless you have a 60 degree with no bounce forget about getting it out or close from the bunkers. No sand means chunk, chunk, blade it over the green into another bunker. I like the course itself but that is a big problem. They need attention.
