West at Jacaranda Golf Club

We played 3 courses on this trip. Coral Springs ($102). Eagle Trace ($120) and Jacaranda West ($212).

When a golf course is double the price of the other two courses we played (and we like them), we are expecting excellent conditions and service. This course did not come close to the price they were charging. With the high green fee, we didn't see very many groups on the course.

Many of the tees were awful (especially hole 1), with some of them not flat. The fairways had numerous spotty bad areas and had sections that had no grass and only a sandy base. Any grass they had in any fairway was good.

The greens were in good shape but a little on the slow side. Many of the greens are elevated and you need to take extra club. It is the only course I've ever played that has a distintive edge, seperating the green from the collar. Looks very strange and can affect a putt from off the green.

When we paid our pricey greens fees, they said it was cart path only today. On the back nine, we start seeing carts in the fairway. I called the pro shop and they tell me they have no restrictions on the carts today. Very strange and why didn't a ranger come out and tell us? Poor service on their part.

Another strange thing was each cart came with a rake. Not sure why because there were racks by the bunkers. The rake just got in the way of your clubs.

It didn't care for the 18th hole. Target golf with water left and a fairway bunker in the middle of the fairway.

Things I liked about the course was it had GPS, Very helpful. The service and food in the restaurant was outstanding. Love they use a different colored painted line on the cart path, for each course to help you navigate the 1st tee, 9th hole to 10th hole and 18th hole to clubhouse. Overall, the course has a nice layout too.

However, the greens fee of $212 is ridiculous. You should expect so much more and most of the experience of playing Jacaranda West was disappointing.

the Jac was a fun and fair golf experience. The wind was a big factor but without it, very gettable GC. no gimmicks to it and some challenging holes but I highly recommend it to those on vacation in the area.

The course and layout are average. You simply can find other
Florida courses that are of better value.
The amenities are poor. No drinking water on course. Which is unacceptable given
the hot sunny climate in Florida. It's a
crime that they then charge you 4.50 for a small water.
Go else where.

The fairways were outstanding. Generous, in great shape and green for January golf. The best part was the way they mowed them. They mowed them with a 4-6-foot-wide mower, mowing up and down the fairway vertically. Really gave the fairways a nice look. I’ve never seen this before - the fairways were perfect, all the way to the cart path. Usually, you will see brown grass, tire ruts by the cart paths edge – but not at this course. Also, they mowed the rough low, so it was not a factor and sped up play. The bunkers were also in great shape. Each cart had a rake in their cart, between their golf bags

The greens were firm and fast. Many of the greens were elevated and usually had a section that sloped off severely. Each green had a perfect, 3-foot green fringe surrounding them.

The course did have GPS. The signature hole was the 17th hole. A very wide green over water.

The course was very friendly and organized. They have two courses at Jacaranda – an East and West course. They have a white stripe on the cart paths for the East course and a yellow strip on the West course. What a great design to help you get from the starter to the 1st tee and from the 9th hole to the 10th tee. Very creative. We went to the 19th hole after the round and the lady bartender could not have been more friendly. We really enjoyed our round at Jacaranda West. Highly recommended.

Great course greens and fairways in great shape definitely coming back

I had the opportunity to play this course while on vacation. It is one the best courses in the area for the money. Great layout and some holes are very challenging with water. Treat yourself to a great day of golf.

Couple areas in various fairways and tee boxes that are under repair, however they have a full staff working to make everything better.

It’s the best maintained public course within a 15 mile radius. I paid $60 for a Friday morning round.

First time playing here and it was in great condition. Fairways are in beautiful shape, greens rolled great, and tee boxes in good shape. All staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Played the West course and I’d definitely play it again, it’s a beautiful course.

Fun course. It's in good shape. Greens roll true. Nice layout. Good tee selection. Electric carts with gps. Great value if $50 or under.

An amazing course. The reason for 4 stars on the price is just because it’s a little high for what you get, especially when it’s $10 for half a bucket of range balls for warming up. I think $90 for 18 holes and a cart could include the range balls or at least range balls for $5.

Either way, I’ll still come back. The course was awesome.

The golf course is in excellent condition as are the other facilities

Nice layout with very generous fairways. Greens were nice and rolled true. Played from the #2 tees and was very manageable for single digit handicappers. Definitely will play again.

Played the West Course at Jacaranda for the first time in a couple of years and it was well worth the $60 greens fee. The tee boxes and greens were in very good shape and the fairways were in good condition, other than some scattered burnt out spots from the heavy rains in the past 14 days. As close as you can get to private club conditions without being a member.

Today was “cart path only” but I enjoyed anyway! Because of that he pace of play was slow but understandable. It’s remarkable the way that this guys take good care of you. So important in these pandemic days! I’ll come back for sure!!

We were on 7th hole when horn sounded could not play anymore trying to conntact for credit has been difficult

A great example of how golf courses should handle golf during virus crisis. Great check-in, staff all had masks with everything marked for social distancing. Course in very nice shape.

This is definitely not the same course we played last year looks like the maintenance has been lacking severely. Not sure what’s going on there but they need to figure it out fast because the People I played with We’re also very disappointed. For the money you pay green should be spectacular fairway should be great as well. Hope they can turn it around
