True hidden gem!

Love playing in the trees. Greens were in great shape given all the rain! Fairways and green surrounds were definitely soggy from all the rain, but I'm sure that will improve when they can actually cut it. Will be back!

Pretty location, rough shape

Staff was nice, greens were good. Fairways were pretty bad with poor grass coverage. There was a guy ahead of us with a dog not on a leash, which frequently got a few hundred yards ahead or behind him and bothered other groups.

An interesting experience but not one I’ll seek to repeat!

Great course for any occasion or golfer.

I have been frequenting BCCC for about 6 months now. While it is your standard small town CC experience - it's the top tier of that category.

Does it have a big driving range and short game practice area? No. Does it have a beverage cart that circles the course? No. What it does have is the most laid back natural beauty you can get in the Santa Cruz mountains, fresh air, friendly staff and patrons, and a well kept, challenging yet fun course. And just wait till you see the price, for 9 or 18 holes you can't beat the prices and the course still isn't oversaturated like the local muni.

This is the perfect course for leaving the big stick at home to focus on your accuracy and dispersion with the rest of the top end of your bag and very interesting green layouts to keep your short game sharp.

Will continue to play BCCC and bring friends and family for years.

Good get away

It is a beautiful course in the mountains surrounded by big redwood trees. Only 9 holes so it takes less than 2 hours. We enjoyed it!

Beautiful walk thru the redwoods. Greens medium fast and true. The few sand traps had lots of good sand. Very scenic and a good value

You better be accurate

This is a beautiful course and a challenging one. The fairways are tight and the rough areas are full of brambles will not let you find your ball. Between the thorns and the poison oak, you will not want to go into the rough areas. You must be able to hit the ball accurately. The greens are slow and you have to give your ball a little extra push.

Overall, it's a fun course and without question, very beautiful. There are so many amazing redwood trees around the course. When I played, it was about 94° and very hot, But there are plenty of shady places to hide out while waiting for other people to hit.

great for us

Played at 11 and sweated thru my shirt dripping wet. Estimated to be near 100. Nice greens, tight fairways and good elevation changes.
