Thanksgiving Point Golf Club

About
At more than 200 acres, the Golf Course at Thanksgiving Park is one of the largest and lengthiest courses in the state. Since its opening, the golf course has received many accolades from publications like Golf Digest, Links Magazine and TravelGolf.com, calling it the best public golf club in Utah and one of 15 "hidden gems" in the country. The golf course was built on mountainous terrain with a desert landscape and the Jordan River meandering through it. To add even more to the scenery, there are also flower gardens and pine trees sprinkled throughout the course. There are many elevation changes and a good amount of undulation on Thanksgiving Park's greens. The mounded fairways are lined with trees. Water hazards come into play on some holes and there are also over 100 bunkers present

Fun day
Course is very fun and challenging. Would like to come back and play in summer when the course Is not dormant.
Sand bunkers everywhere! The River runs through the course and is beautiful.
Winter golf
Golf in December is a bonus in N. Utah, course was as in as good as shape as can be expected.
Great time as usual
Given that I was playing in early December I can't really complain, so I won't. As usual had a great time. Fairly difficult but fair. Greens are in pretty good shape as the pressure has slowed down due to the weather. Hoping I can get one more round in here before the red winter finally hits
Always like playing here when I can.
As usual I had a nice day at Thanksgiving Point. The staff was not as friendly as I would like, but honestly after playing for over 45 hears I have food this to be more the norm than not. Something about being "pro" seems to give them a bit of a haughty attitude. i have been in the golf business for over 30 years and again this is not uncommon at all unfortunately. The bunkers were a bit sketchy, but it is nearing the end of the season so somewhat expected I guess. All in all a good course and I will be back.
Thanksgiving Point
Course was enjoyable. Fairways and greens in good condition. Greens were slow for such a good course. Worst element was the sand traps...like hitting off your concrete driveway. Impossible to get the club under and through the sand.
One of the best around
Had a great day yesterday. Awesome course and in great condition. Will play again for sure
Let the carts roll
It’s March. The fairways are dry. There’s always going to be some storm in the day 10 day forecast all the way until summer.
Knock it off with the cart path only, it’s northern Utah.

Windy Windy
No reason for the course to be “cart path only” on this day. I know a lot courses are adopting this policy currently, but this is only after COVID, the course was totally dry and I’ve played 25 years of golf in Northern Utah to a different tune, let the carts fly.

Spectacular Course!!
This course was amazing.. even when course had a lot of snow, by noon it melted down quite a bit and course was great! Staff was friendly as well
I got suckered by golf now
I was looking to play 11/12/23 and I was looking at golf now on 11/11 and it said hot deal for tomorrow so I snagged a 2 some paid 98.00 bucks then on 11/12/23 I looked at the date it was for a week out 11/19/23 and it rained all day so you get paid and I don’t play. I hate the way golf courses take tee times. Anybody can book it on line and it seems there are quite a bit of cancellations then you don’t answer the phone , Golf pros just got lazy
