Not great
Staff was very friendly and greens were good overall. Tons or mole hills. Eough and fairways were lacking grass.
Christmas tee off time.
Nice laid-back course with friendly staff. But some of the greens could do some care because of the mole hills.
Great "out of the city" course
We enjoy getting out of the Phoenix area and playing this wonderful course every year. Have always gotten a good rate. The layout is nice as well as the course conditions. See you next winter, thanks.
Worth the Drive!
Francisco Grande has become one of our go-to courses in the last few years as it's remained affordable & has improved conditions.
We enjoy the layout, big trees, friendly staff, & delicious bratwurst (seriously, not your average brat). The pro shop even has great deals on golf shoes, wide variety of hats, shirts & other items. We always take time to browse a bit before heading out.
Pace of play can get slow on a busy day or if there's a tournament, but just plan on it & chill out. Enjoy the round, the people you're with, & the good shots we're all chasing!!
Location, location
I live in the PHX area and my good friend in Tucson. Not only is the course fun to play, but its location is perfect for us. We have enjoyed every round that we’ve played there. The staff has always been friendly too.
Nice course
The course was in pretty good condition. Good value for the price but play was very slow at times.
Disappointed
'Franny Granny' is a nice track I play several times a year. Previous to this round I played just after they opened after over-seeing. I thought the course then was about as nice as I had seen it. I don't know what happened, but conditions yesterday were starkly different: 'corn-row' grass down fairways, various bare patches including on green-fronts, soggy areas with some standing water. There has been an effort to improve sandtraps, but greens had inconsistent moisture that varied pace. And we were behind a two-some that could not keep up with a four-som, so there's that......
I'm not angry--I'll return--just really, really disappointed....

Course is getting better. Soft greens, many tee blocks for any handicap. Got stuck behind a “single” but after second hole his girlfriend golfed also, shared clubs. Could tell she was just learning so it was a frustrating round.
Golf at Francisco Grande
I like playing here as the course is challenging and alway green. Pace of play is always good and they have a food stand at the turn. Big trees and lots of grass which is rare for most Arizona golf. I highly recommend it.
Great Day
Course was in good shape, greens were good. Nice pace of play. Our foursome had a great time.
